Rope Drop strategy at DHS

I'm interested in what some other obsessive planner would recommend...

For our DHS day, our goal at rope drop is to ride:
- Rock'n'roller coaster (possibly doing parent swap)
- Tower of Terror (with a fastpass - we have a 9:50-10:50 slot right now)
- Either Great Movie Ride OR Little Mermaid
- Get a cupcake at Starring Rolls just before:
- The 11:00 Beauty and the Beast show.

It seems like that ought to be doable (3 rides in 2 hours), but I'm trying to figure out our best plan. It seems weird to do GMR first, but an obvious path would be GMR->RnRC->ToT->BatB. However, would we be better off doing something like RnRC->GMR/VotLM/->ToT->BatB or RnRC->ToT->GMR/VotLM/->BatB? I'm curious what others would recommend.

Where is TSMM in your plans? That ride gets the longest the fastest. We usually head to TSMM and ride it stand by at rope drops, then head to RnRC and ride it a couple times. We usually schedule our Fastpasses to not start until around lunchtime...our rationale is that the lines are tolerable prior to lunch, but not worth standing in after lunch.

I wouldn't rush to Beauty and the Beast or Voyage of the Little Mermaid. Both have large capacity and are easy to fit in later in the day. I would ride RnRC first, Toy Story, Tower of Terror, Great Movie Ride, then fit in the shows. You can easily do this if you arrive 30-40 min before park opening and move quickly. I wouldn't bother with FP+ if you will be there for rope drop, especially if you have park hoppers. Save the FP+ for the second park of the day.

We have a FP+ for TSMM for the evening. Our plan is from about 6:30 to see the Frozen show, maybe see Star Wars Launch Bay, and kind of end up with TSMM (with the fastpass) and then Fantasmic.

If you do not have a FP for RNR, I would strongly suggest you do it first (and be up near the front of the line at rope drop). If you would do Great Movie Ride first, RNR would be 60 minutes or longer by the time you were done with RNR.

I'd do RnRC->ToT->GMR/VotLM/->BatB. least amount of lines, a bit more walking

We did almost the same thing, OP, but we did GMR in the afternoon.

RnR w/ child swap--ToT (DH used my MB for a 2nd ride), Starbucks, shopping, BaTB, lunch and then character meets before TSMM FP.

Amazingly, GMR had long lines all Monday afternoon. We were back in the park Tuesday morning and it had a posted 20 minute wait and we had nothing else to do, so did it then. The wait as really about 20-25 minutes...we just saw the entire film at the beginning before loading the car and had small wait in the entry area beforehand. We were surprised to see the film at the beginning and end had changed. Nice to watch something different. I'd definitely hit it in the morning.
