Hey everyone!

I'm thinking of doing the CP next year with a friend. We can't share a room because they aren't coed (right?), so I was wondering...

1. Are rooms assigned before your arrival?
2. Can we request to be neighbors or at least in the same building?

Thanks! I'm sure I'll have more questions in the future. :thumbsup2

Individual apartments aren't coed, but buildings are.

In most cases you will not be assigned a building or specific apartment until you arrive. Just stay with your friend during the initial check in process and request to be put in the same building- they probably will be able to accomplish this (note that in doing this, you may sacrifice other things like the size/number of bedrooms in your apartment).

While my daughter was checking in for her CP they gave the parents a tour of Vista. When we went over to actually move her into the apartment I recognized almost all of the parents from the tour, and they were all moving people into the same apartment building (and actual apartment) as my daughter. So it certainly seems that as you check in they just fill up one building, then go on to the next. So stick together and you should end up living very near each other.
