Rooms rates for the general public ?

Hi there,
I am new at this game.. watching the rates ??
but am I late for this or what, as I see people watching rates for 2008 already !!
Anyways , here is my question, are there any great rates for the general public for stays in August, 2007 ?? or is it too late now...
I know there is a AAA rate but is that about it , can I expect a better rate ?
