hello.
I have seen many threads on this from the past .. but I have a question
on a specific model. the 530... does anyone have this specific model?
how much would you pay for it ?
what is the best model out there and how much would you pay ?
the reason i ask about the 530 is that i saw this one in the store last week...

i have not seen many different models around where i live and i have no clue on the pricing of these things.
thanks.

This is the model I have (although I only got 1 virtual wall) and have bought both of them through woot.com (one specially priced item per day). The last one I bought, I paid between $120-145.

ummmmmm

thanks for your reply.. i think i saw the model 530 for about 220.??
will have to double check that .. do you like it ..........is it worth the money??

I do not have a roomba. But I bought a Scooba -- and LOVE it. (It's running as I type.)
The Scooba mops.

Here is what I did, based on a blog:
I bought a reconditioned one from iRobot. $200, plus sales tax, with a 90 day warranty. (free shipping)

Worked great. But when I went to take it apart for rinsing afterwards, the brushes would not release. :confused3
I called iRobot right away.
And they sent me a brand new unit as a replacement. (No accessories. Just the unit.)

I have been VERY happy with the unit and the customer service.

I have one and I love it!!! I have the pet edition and it keeps my house clean of dog hair with 5 dogs and a cat. I paid somewhere around $200 for it. Honestly I will never go back to the regular vacuum machine.

shamlesly bumping:) I have seen a new brand advertised can't remember the name, but are these things really good,I might consider buying one:thumbsup2

I saw the newer model Roomba for pets, and I debated about it.
I did read one review where the person returned the one they bought. Their complaint was the pet fur (and human hair) was long enough it was wrapping around the brushes.
Another review I read was someone who was staying in a house with multiple dogs, and occasionally one would have an accident. The Roomba would go through the mess. And cleaning up the Roomba, and the smeared in stuff on the floor was worse than cleaning the floors themselves.
Those are two things to keep in mind, just in case there may be issues in either area.
Vacuuming I do not mind. Mopping I do. That was why I went with the Scooba instead.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my roomba. The 530 does not have an automatice schedule thing that lets/makes it run on it's own and that's the only thing I would like to add. I feel the roomba is amust for keeping on top of pet hair....I still use the regular vacuum, but only once per week thanks to my roomba.

I love the Roomba so much, I'm on my second one! I have had a few battery issue with both units. I have 4 dogs, and mostly hardwood floors and it does a good job. I do use a regular vacuum for a good cleaning once a week on carpets.

The hair does wrap on the brushes but it comes with a tool that takes it all out.

Is it sad that it is a dream of mine to own a Roomba? I used to dream of travel and money, now just clean hardwood floors! lol:lmao:
