Room requests?

We are arriving at Aulani on May 9th. Our first time

I want to make a room request - I know it is request only. We have an Island View studio booked so I am requesting Ewa - higher floors ending in 73 or 79.

When should I make this request - 10 days out? Should I call it in or can I do this with the online check in?

You should make your request now. Call it in so its noted on your reservation.

Keep in mind it's only a request and not guaranteed. So many people blow it way out of proportion if they don't get it.

I called the main Aulani reservations line as we booked through Aulani and not DVC. I am guessing if you have a DVC reservation you would call them, but I am not sure.

I figured it does not hurt to try - and if we don't get it, we will be fine.

All three are good options. If you booked it on points call MS, on cash call DRC or call Aulani directly. When you call the 808 number for Aulani you are actually speaking with CMs who are there

We are DVC so I booked with my points. I will call member services.

Caribbean beach question. I'm going in September and will be requesting by phone for a room in Jamaica building 45, but I also wanted to do so online (at least the Jamaica part). I saw some sites show that you can make a request for location and/or "island" section (such as Martinique or Jamaica, etc.) but when I go in on the check in site I only see options like "near transportation" or "corner room" etc. and the island option is not there. Am I looking in the appropriate place for this request? Is it no longer an option to pick your island online?
