Room Requests @ POP????

I see that each section except the 80's-90's have thier own pool.
which is the Main Pool??

The main pool is the Hippy Dippy pool just outside the Classic Hall. The Bowling Pin pool is in the 50s sections and the Computer pool is in the 80/90s section.

cmbar...you got some good advice from ekatiel..pretty much what I would have said. There is a small area of 80's the sort of faces towards the lake, but those rooms are the furthest away from the food court/bus stops.

Thanks for the suggestions. I just asked to put us in the 80's section and noted that my son just loves Pacman. I would love to have a quiet room and if it is close to bus stop even better. We are DVC members and plan to do some pool hopping so I don't expect we will be at the main pool at POP. But it would be nice to have a more quiet pool for the evenings.

Looking forward to our trip now that we are all paid off!

OOOPS! My DH just called and said the frozen coke machine is gone at POP! He said "I have a problem with our trip"

I said you don't want to cancel do you? He said no, but was very dissappointed. I think this is funny since now I know he is lurking on the POP threads at lunch!

You are aware that you aren't entitled to pool hop unless you are staying on points, right? That's a perk if you are staying on your DVC points, not if you are paying cash for a resort.

Ok so what area should I request where I am super close to the food court/main pool area. I don't care about noise...just convenience.

Well, the 'preferred' locations are pretty close to the food court/bus stop. That's why they are 'preferred'. But, I'm the whacky person that doesn't like the preferred locations. We were put in 70's, bldg 10, ground floor. I really didn't care for it. But, the food court and bus stop were very close. If you are going with a standard room, I would just ask for a room that was closer to the food court if possible.

Well I request something that I am sure not many people do - 90's or 80's and near the laundry room (which happens to mean facing the pool ). I got it...spot on!

I have always gotten whatever I request, but I don't usually request popular areas. Good luck!

You are aware that you aren't entitled to pool hop unless you are staying on points, right? That's a perk if you are staying on your DVC points, not if you are paying cash for a resort..

The Hippy Dippy pool is quite a bit larger than the other two so it does hold many people. Those buildings are also preferred buildings. There is a fair amount of space between the buildings and the pool so I don't know how much noisier it would be.

You can use any of the three pools at Pop.

Yep we know that now. Thanks, will have to be happy with the POP pool for this trip. Last time at a value so I think we can take it. Will miss the slides for the kiddies though. But we will go to Blizzard beach and have a blast. Thanks!
