Room Requests directly and through TP

I have setup an automatic room request to be sent from TP to Disney. Should I also do a request directly through Disney? If so, how do I ensure the two requests are essentially the same?

You can if you want to. I used TP room request fax as well as asked my travel agent to submit room request on my behalf. As for content, just make sure both requests are the same. For example, I needed a standard view room with bunk bed and queen bed configuration at AKL. That was exactly what was in my TP fax and what I asked my TA to request.

Thanks! I just did the online check-in and it doesn't seem their room request is that robust. Drop down menus with pre-determined choices, so I choose the requests most similar to my request (Highest Floor, Lake View).

Really hoping I get the room I wanted.

wish you luck!! When I did online check in, I didn't choose any of the options as none of them was what I wanted. I relied on TP's fax to get the room that I wanted..

I did a TP fax for our POFQ stay in June. I also tried to match our online check-in as best I could. I had two rooms and the reservations were linked. I basically requested connecting rooms and near the bus stop, and we did not get anything close to our request. At first, our two rooms were on opposite sides of the resort. They were able to fix that at check-in and get us near each other (3 rooms in between), but we were in the furthest rooms from the bus stop. I had read that POFQ does read room request faxes, so I was hopeful about our request. Plus I didn't think our request was too outrageous. Good luck with your request!

I'm sure they did read them, though sometimes they do get lost. Reading them doesn't mean they can grant them though. They do if they can

I did TP room request our last two trips. We got one room pretty close to our request at GF. This year at the BC we did not get our request but lived with it. For the BC we wanted close to the elevator and we were way down the hall from it. I also requested 2nd floor but we got 3rd.
