The first 2 were for All Star Music and Movies - both times my requests were for a 1st floor room with king bed close to the main building (hyerniated disk). Both times we got those exact requests.
After leaving the All Star Music, we checked into WL. I had requested possible wood upgrade on the side where the boats were (hyerniated disk) and king bed. But when we checked in, the computers were all down and they had noted our standard room and stuck us into whatever room was standard was open which overlooked the delivery doors on the OTHER wing with 2 double beds. It was our 5th anniversary and for us, a double bed doesn't quite fit us both so I made him sleep in the other bed....bummer huh?!? LoL
And our last request was 2 weeks ago today at AKL. I had requested a possible savannah room upgrade from our standard room. And requested close to main lobby. We got the Kudu trail savannah room 2 doors in from the lobby main floor. Very nice!
So we are running 3-4 requests and I do think that if the computers had been up at WL that we would have gotten a better room. The hotel was empty and it was our anniversary and a king bed I'm thinking they woulda done for us. They even took our anniversary info down at check in (it was in our original resservation to) but it was a kick in the rear that after all that extra noting and writing down, they never even acknologed our anniversary.
In fact, we've noted many birthdays and anniversaries over the years (probably 8 or 9, we usually take bdays and anniversaries as chances to go) and only ONE time has anything ever happened. We don't go expecting anything but when you read about all the magical and nice things hotels do for others, makes ya wonder if they don't bother when you are a Fl resident or something.
