Keeping bus routes in mind, which building should I request to have a better shot at getting a seat on a disney bus.

It won't matter. There is only one bus stop at All star Movies. If you are going during a non-crowded time. The bus will stop first at All star sports, then all star music, then finally arrive at the movies stop.

If it is busy, each resort will have it's own bus picking up guests.

While there is only one bus stop, if you want to be close to it request a room in Buzz #10 in Toy Story (if you don't want to pay the extra preferred room cost). That building is the shortest walk from the bus stop

Never had a problem. Every once and awhile, we had to wait for a second bus, but they radio ahead and another one comes usually within minutes. The bus stop question has been answered already, but if you are talking about which AS resort, Sports is the first picked up.

The bus stop for all Disney guests at that resort is just on the other side of the lobby, so which building you are in does not really affect that. However, if you want a building that is closest to the lobby/food court area, the preferred rooms are in the Fantasia buildings. These rooms are the first buildings that you come to on the left side as you exit the food court and lobby building.

Whenever we stay at ASMovies, we always request (and thankfully have always gotten) building 10 (Buzz side of Toy Story). It's quiet, pretty close to the pool and main building and closest to the bus stop. But, shhhh...don't tell anybody...I don't want this information to get out! :rolleyes1
