Trying to be patient... :rolleyes1 BUT... Come on Oct./Nov. room only discount rates!! Thought for sure they would be out by now!! UGH!! Anyone else waiting for this?? Anyone have any input as when they might be announced? Don't care about dining... just room rate discount! :thumbsup2

Hi! I am also anxiously awaiting a Room only discounts-11/7-11/12. According to a post about FD my check in date doesn't fall during the time but a couple of my days do. But I figure I might save more for a RO discount- we are staying at the Poly-spent a fortune with only a AAA discount. Anybody have any thoughts on this?
When the FD does come out, would it make sense to book it for the days available and then if a RO comes out, and it's better, can I cancel and rebook? BTW, the trip is already paid for.

SO you want to book another ressie or change your current ressie :confused3

I'm waiting too. I have a FD discount in my name for the time we're going in November, but it just won't work for us this time. I have been calling every week to see if anything is out. Yesterday the cast member was very helpful and said it's likely going to be at least the end of July before any room only discounts will be out for that time frame. So I wait, not so patiently!:yay:

Well, I am already booked and paid for-Poly 11/7-11/12.
I'm wondering which is a better deal- FD for only partial of my trip OR a room only discount. The way I figure it, the FD looks like it will be out before the room only (if it does come out at all). I'm afraid if I wait and don't redo my ressie for the FD and then a room only comes out and the FD is a better value, that I won't be able to get the FD- too late. Does that make sense at all?:confused3
I don't know- I have myself confused. I am thinking that a room only would be a better deal(?)

I am (im)patiently waiting for a room discount for November as well and just called yesterday to check also; the CM told me August :( We are staying at WL and it is definitely a better deal for our family of 4 to get even a 25% off room only. (Of course hoping for more than that.). It depends on your resort level, family size, family eating habits, and desire to pre-pay or pay as you go. I'm hanging in there with you!

seems like WL is one of the resorts that doesnt get alot of discounts for some reason. prob because they dont have much problem filling it,,,,

Just sending a smile to you all who are still waiting. I've gotten off the discount-waiting-train and booked Wyndam Bonnet Creek instead. I got a killer rate & I like having my plans done rather than waiting and hoping. :goodvibes I hope the discounts come soon for you all and they are big ones!

:rotfl:Heck with Nov, I'm still waiting for AP discounts for Sept 1st-8th.:rotfl: Plus AP discounts for our Oct/Nov trip. I currently have both booked with a bounceback room discount I used when I was there last Dec. I'm hoping an AP discount might beat my current deals though.:rotfl:

My fingers are crossed as well for room-only, since it's only DH and I going this time. We've always gone with our two (adult) children before, and Free Dining was a much better savings for us. But with only us two, I'd much prefer a good discount at BC. I also don't want to be tied to ADRs that I feel would be necessary with FD either.

I feel the same way. I would rather spend time doing the attractions/rides,etc than sticking to a dining ressie. We are an "eat on the run" family. Plus with staying at the Poly, I really want a discount! Come on room only!!

Not sure if this has been said yet..

According to "insider info" thread here for july 12 release of FD. The GP room discounts will come out a couple weeks later. AP discounts will come about a month after that date. No more info about exact dates, percentages or black outs for the GP or AP deals.

We are, too. Not to mention that, since all the free dining has come about, so much of the quality and offerings at TS restaurants has gone downhill. I'd just as soon have a decent CS meal at the park where I happen to be at the time. I really want to enjoy being at the parks without having to plan around ADRs, so really counting on those room discounts! And decent ones; not 5%.

Agreed all around! The only meal plan that would be ideal for my family is one that would include one CS meal and 5 snacks per day. That's the way my kids like to "dine" at Disney...and how we probably will dine if we can get a good room discount for November.
