Room Only Discount extended on Disney Site!!

I am so excited! I just upgraded our 7 nights at Pop to 6 nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge (which is my ABSOLUTE dream Disney resort, since my dream vacation is an African Safari) and it only cost me around to $250 to upgrade! I am so happy right now!!!!!!! And it's all because I happened to see the discount thread at the top of a page!

:lovestruc:goodvibes:thumbsup2:cloud9::woohoo::dance3::cheer2:

I called Disney on my way home from work and asked if they could apply the extended room only discount to our last two nights (which weren't covered under the previous promo). The first castmember wasn't helpful at all and even told me that my resort wasn't available (even though I knew it was because I saw it online). I said thanks and called back. The second castmember was super nice and applied the code to our last two days. I saved an additional $67.50 for our room and $67.50 for my mother's room. Hey, it may not be a lot but it's something!

From the time I booked our vacation (with no promo at all), I've gotten the price of the vacation down by over $700.00!

Thank you! It looks like some of you are having some trouble with getting the correct rates right now (via phone and/or online), though, so I'm just going to let it sort itself out over the next couple of days and apply the discount then. I think I saw someone mention that if it's 5 or more nights, values are 30% off, but I only see that info for the through 6/3 dates -- it just shows 25% off a value for 1 or more nights.

Now I will have to decide if I want to upgrade to a moderate with my savings . . .

We are staying in a value for 7 nights and received the 25% off. I think the new extended prices only have one % off. The original ones were for 1-4 days and 5+.

I called back again to change my prior ressie. CM told me the reservation system was doing strange things (that would explain me getting a cheaper rate with package and dining with new summer discount than a room only rate... still cheaper than my original ressie). Anyway, she was able to cancel my prior rack rate ressie of 14 nights at wilderness cabin with dining, and book just a room rate at 30% off. Price difference $4851. Dining definitely not worth that much. Still hoping for a better passholder rate eventually, but this is still much better than what I had :)

Thank you, Thank you for posting about the new code. I just called and had it applied to our July trip to the Poly. We saved almost $1100. Thanks again!

Looks like it is working now. However, the price I got this afternoon for WL went up about $100. I was trying to decide between WL and CSR - It's $170 more for WL. Think I will go for it.

My trip is a 3night package booked directly on line through disney's website.
I am leaving next wk staying at POLY w/deluxe dining and Magic your way hopper passes.
If I am reading this thread correctly there might be a code that could be applied to my package to offer discounted room rates? I clicked on the discounts tab and see a code of QNX for 1-4day general public room only rates(but it notes that it could be applied to room portion of package).
Can I go into my existing reservation anywhere and input this code or is it best to call and see how I make out?
I am just confused but would love to save some $$. Trip is already paid for but would they credit the rate difference?
Advise me pls quick I am leaving Tuesday!

Thanks for the info! We're going the end of July. I just got off the phone and I was able to apply the discount to our room at Pop.

To get them to apply a code to your existing reservation you will definitely have to call. I dont know for sure but I'm guessing they will refund/credit you the difference -- if there are rooms available at the discounted rate, which there may not be since it is so close. Good luck!!

I believe the POLY is booked for next week so I guess my chances are in a word NONE.........I have to call anyway re: an ADR question so maybe I will throw the question of the code out there.
I actually just booked the trip 4 wks ago so I am not sure I could have gotten the better rate either way - BOO HOO!

Whoo hoo! I was able to book BC from 7/1 - 7/7 with the discount - it saved me nearly a grand off what I had originally reserved. I was very surprised that I was able to get the discount for the 4th!:cool1:

How does a room-only reservation work? I have a package booked 6/13-6/20 at CBR with the dining plan. When I price everything seperately, I get a savings of about $700 for our family of five (one under 3, so I guess it's really 4), so I'd like to look into it. My AAA agent won't be in until tomorrow morning, but I was wondering how this all worked. Any info you can give me is appreciated!

Out of a stroke of good luck we received a pin code and applied it to our room for this summer. It was only 15% off a value though. I wasn't complaining because it was a better deal than what I had anticipated--nothing. We applied it. Now that this offer that's out to the general public is better, can we switch? Will they use my existing reservation, cancel the old 15% off pin code, and then reapply the new 25%?

Also, when I played around on the web site, it only pulled up a standard room in the value resort w/ this offer. We have a preferred room. Was it a glitch w/ the computer, or can you only use it with a standard value room?

You can add tickets and the dining plan to the room only promo out right now. That's what I did and I saved money!

**Edited to add: After you price out the vacation on the Disney Special Offers page, call your AAA agent and tell them to have the new promo applied to your existing reservation. I had a package already booked and called Disney Travel and asked for them to apply it. No problems whatsoever!

disneybliss2 - I would call and ask specifically about this offer. I had a discount originally with my AAA card and they cancelled that discount and applied the new one and I saved a bundle!

Thanks, DisneyBelle27. It was too late to call them last night because of the time zone difference, but I'm I'm going to try here shortly. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I called this morning and got the discount on the beach club....the CM took time and said he had to "convert" the code...whatever that meant....I didn't care I was just happy to get the discount!

Quick question. I see the dates are extended - is the book by date still 3/27/2010?

Can I use this room only discount code if I'm an annual passholder and add the dining plan?
