Room only discount code club

Oh, and if you book your room separately from your tickets, can you still have your room key and ticket access on one card? The whole "keys to the world" thing? Still trying to get the hang of this :)

Yes, you can still have everything tied together. The only time KTTW doesn't apply is if you're staying at Swan or Dolphin, as those are not technically Disney resorts. (They do have some discounts going now though, which is why we're considering the Dolphin as another boardwalk option.)

My dates are blacked out for FD.... so I'm jumping on the bandwagon and Subbing! popcorn::

Thanks to you and the PP! I am still praying for a room only discount that will allow me to stay at BC but it seems like many of the deluxe discounts are historically for WL or AKL. I've got a hankering for an Epcot resort with an awesome pool though!!

We had the 40% on BWV last time. I'd take either but we're crossing our fingers for BC too. We're going to F&W Oct 20-24.

Is there a room only discount being announced on the 16th to the public?

Rumors say the 13th and the 16th. I'm slightly skeptical about the 13th as it's a Saturday, but who knows.

If Disney follows the usual patterns, the discounts would be expected to look like the AP discounts that were just released. But again, this is all just vague third-hand rumors and speculation. Nothing very firm yet.

There was a room only discount this past February for BC, but hoping for one this coming February.

Do you have the details of the AP discounts? Just curious what those look like. Maybe they're buried here somewhere, but I'm at work (shhhh) and can't take the time right now to look.

Okay, so another newbie to all of this...we're booked at POFQ Dec. 19-23rd and already had our plane tix booked, so FD was not an option for us. Changing the tickets was the amount we'd be saving with FD.

Right now we're booked with a package with room and tickets. Here are my questions:

If we use a room only discount, do we have to change our reservation and buy tickets separately? Or can they just apply the discount to the room?

If we already have a room booked would we possibly be forced to switch resorts, or do we get to keep the one we have? I'd be open to it, but honestly I really don't want to!

TIA for the help! :)

You can still book a package with a "room only" discount. It's called "room only" for two reasons: (1) people who really want a room only - no tickets and no dining - can book it, and (2) so that people who want a package realize that they get the discount only on the room portion of the price, and they still pay full price for tickets and the dining plan. If you don't want the dining plan, however, it is cheaper to book a room- only reservation and buy tickets from a discounter. They can still be added to your KTTW card.

What would be expected dates covered in the announcement we hope is coming either 8/13 or 8/16??

I need pixie dust on May 10th through the 15th. I am not holding my breath though because it is Mother's Day weekend. Does anyone know from past experience if Mother's Day is typically a blackout date? :confused3

My TA tells me this weekend via email that she's going on holidays August 12-17, go figure ROFL ! She claims the office works as a team and if there is a discount and can be applied to me it'll be done no worries, but ya still. Times like those I wish I had just gone on my own and booked stuff, had I known then what I know now kinda thing owell. CSR is full only suites availabe for mly week and POFQ is completely full nothing at all, I guess if I could pay what I am now not save anything but go deluxe that'd be ok, but moving dates around isn't an option that's for sure.

Thank you for the info. Now, do we think the announcement that is rumored to be coming out on August 13 or August 16 will cover only this time period or will it go into 2012? I know there's nothing definite; just wondering what the rumors or thoughts are.

My birthday is Aug 13 and that's a Sat. Do they release discounts on the weekend? I can't remember.

I went back through my email folders and have seen things come through on Saturdays. ;)

Still doesn't answer what people think the offer will be. Historically, it hasn't been for spring BUT, with the stock market sinking, maybe that will change.

OMG!! We have NEVER gotten a code. EVER. But I thought it wouldn't hurt to call. We haven't been to WDW since 2008 so maybe they miss us, LOL

I asked if there was one for us and I thought I was gonna die! I wanted Pop, but he said it was booked up but I could pick any of the All Stars plus it would be preferred! I almost screamed YES at him!! So, I have five nights at All Star Movies, preferred room for $493. It's 25% off!!

My point is, it never hurts to call!!! I still can't believe it! I almost feel like I'm making this up! :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

We booked a one-bedroom at BWV this year long past when the Feb discounts came out and had no trouble getting it. I loved going at that time of year.

Our next planned trip is supposed to be early Dec 2012. This Oct trip is a bonus - literally. I got a signing bonus when I converted to be a perm employee of my company. Naturally we spent it on another trip. :)

My guess would be the GP would be the same as this. But then no one really expected them to put out 2012 free dining yet either, so who knows.

GP or VISA card holders? It would not surprise me if the 13th was the advanced VISA date. Then again, they didn't do that at all for FD. That FD release was a total mess. So who knows.

I hope it's on the 13th because F&W events book on the 16th and those *will* fill up within hours. I just don't want to be dealing with both on the same day. Also, it's a Saturday so I don't have to explain to my boss why i'm late. :rotfl:

So get this ... my boss just got a pin code. In fact, I'm now wondering if it wasn't his first. This is SO frustrating. My boss has been to Disney maybe twice in the past 7 or so years and both times it was work related. He was there with a convention. AND HE GETS A PIN!!! Whereas I've been there yearly for the past 7 years. I think that's the problem. They know I'm coming so why bother giving me a pin code?!? I see all of my boss's e-mail and the Disney Destinations ones always go into our quarantine file. I've never bothered to look at them, but this time I thought I'd open it and see what it was and sure enough, a pin. The only reason I'm not completely irritated is because it only goes until the end of the year and we're looking at February. Oh well, even if it was for February, there's nothing I can do about it. I just find it so ironic that the man who hates Disney gets the pin.
