Room only discount code club

I think I've done it in the past with different lead names. Mine for one and dh for other I think? I'm pretty sure I have.

Also I just can't imagine them auto erasing a reservation that has a $200 deposit on it without calling you first? Maybe they would though?

I called last week to confirm that I could book two ressies, and was told by the CM that it was no problem. I have confirmations for both, but maybe I should check the second to be sure...:rolleyes1

Do the AP rates have blackout dates? TIA!

Just Nov. 23-25, which is Thanksgiving. Discount is good 10/3-10/22 and 10/26-12/24. However, that doesn't mean that everything's available. I couldn't get anything in AKL Jambo House for my dates; had to move over to Kidani.

It sure doesn't mean everything's available. :( :( :(

just tried to get my Polynesian reservation for 10/18 for a week reduced with AP rate, and there are no AP rooms at all. I'm pretty devastated, I just got laid off and need that discount to make this dream anniversary trip happen

count me in! My family doesn't "do" the dining plan, too much food, too many limitations, etc. We'd much rather have a room only discount. Right now we have a room only reservation with a AAA discount of 15%, hoping for something better!

Free dining is a much better deal for Disney. The availability of AP rates are pretty bad and if there is a GP room only code I would expect the same. Most of the discounted rooms went to free dining. Now is only they would do away with free dining.....

I think the reasoning of the Aug 13th date is that the current GP room only discounts expire that day so Disney will replace it with another discount. KMFX

I was going to book this weekend for September 25-29 under the slight general public room discount. If by some miracle another better room discount hits after August 13th, would I be able to update my deal? Or would I be forced to cancel/rebook and roll the dice that I could get in again?

The only other time I stayed on property, I booked everything through Southwest so I wouldn't have to deal with it on my honeymoon.

ITA. I would love for free dining to go away. I know that isn't a popular opinion, but the food/menus have gone way down hill...especially since free dining is offered practically year round lately.

I am so new to all of this! I was hoping for the free dining as well, but now can only hope for a room discount...when do they usually post those? will there even be one? do I just keep checking the Disney website? my dates are Oct. 18-23...leaving the day fd starts :( How do you get pin numbers I hear people talking about? thanks in advance for the help!!

Count me in. I have two ressies - Nov. 25-27 and Dec. 1-4 that I would love a discount for.:thumbsup2

Well I bit the bullet and went with free dining for my Dec. 1-4 ressie and saved $315. I know there is no room only discount that would equal that so I booked it especially since I already have ressies for 'Ohana for dinner and breakfast and Kona for breakfast. I'll still be on the lookout for a discount for my Nov. 25-27 room only ressie.

Good luck everyone!

Thank you for responding. Yes, I totally understand about limited availability with AP rates. And the original room I booked (GV at YC) is not even available anymore, even at rack rate, so forget discounts (it's in October - Columbus Day weekend, there's Food and Wine and multiple conventions in that area, so limited availability in general). Just curious about black-out dates. I've been toying for months with the idea of getting APs and was curious if there were less black-outs than pin codes. My pin code had a zillion black-out dates. But, it sounds like AP rates are just not released early enough. I would gladly switch to BW or BC if I could get a discount for my entire stay.

I priced out FD, and even paying $467/night (rack) for 25% of our stay, we still save $80 more with my current room-only discount than FD. I know that FD saves some lots, but if you are 2 adults and 2 kids in a deluxe, FD is just not as good as room discount. Period. And it makes restaurants crazy full and ADRs harder to get. So, not a big fan here either. I'm sure I'll change my story once my kids are Disney "adults" but we have a few years before that.

We have been AP holders for 8 years. Generally, there are not a ton of blackouts -- just major holidays such as Tgiving, Cmas, Easter. One time when we went over Easter, though, it was actually not blacked out (but normally it is). I think it's all about occupancy levels.

This new round of AP discounts just released does not blackout Columbus Day weekend, and I think most PIN's did. My resort (Poly) is showing a deal for a regular garden view, but this time we want CL room and it's not showing up. Luckily, we already have a bounceback in place.

I agree with you about FD. It's simply not the best deal for a family of 4 (2 kids and 2 adults) staying deluxe. The room-only discount is normally a much better deal.

Were hoping for a room discount for Jan 8th-15th. ( would love the 7th -15 th, but most deals don't start on a Saturday, plus it's marathon weekend). We've done the separate ressie, check in twice, new KTTW cards thing... Too much hassle unless its some MAJOR disount! Were booked at POR, but would love to be able to go deluxe with an awesome deal!

Not sure I understand your question but I don't think a new discount would cover September. Probably Oct - Dec.

Room only discount was just posted for annual pass holders to cover Oct-Dec. We are expecting similar discounts to be released to general public on the 13th or the 16th. We're going Oct 20th - 24th, same time. The biggest concern at this point for most of us is not whether the discount will come, but whether the resort/room we want is available. The more flexible you are, the better your chances.

PIN numbers are random. They come by email or snail mail. Though sonetimes you have one and dont know it; in that case you can call and ask. But you can generally increase your chances by making sure Disney has your info, logging into the website and "saving" some trip options for your dates and supposedly by ordering their new, free customized park maps. I just did that last yesterday and they asked several questions about my upcoming trip. Also, fill out any surveys they send you.

Thank you to whomever it was that posted about the AP Discount Wednesday. I checked in first thing Wednesday morning with no luck, and didn't plan to come back til Thursday. Thanks to this thread, I saw that the discount had been posted during the day on Wednesday, and snagged just what we wanted - Club Level at the Beach Club for Oct. 5-9. Our anniversary is Oct. 5, and we've recently moved to FL, so this is the first year we are close by enough to do F&W Fest and MNSSHP. I had just about given up hope of ever getting that discounted rate, and boom! There it was!

I hope you all get the discount you're hoping for, and that you have a magical trip to the World!

Who would I call and ask if I have any pins?
