We are going in early October. We have a woods view room, but am curious as to which wing of the building is a good place to request the room? I made the usual requests about certain things at the time of the reservation back in March, but I was told that I really need to speak to someone at the resort 5 or so days prior to arrival to really be specific about room locations, otherwise, they don't seem to take the requests as serious (or so I'm told).

Above is a room map of the WL. For a woods view room I like the north wing which overlooks the otter pond. Either the 4th or 5th floor is my favorite. You will have a good chance of seeing some of the fireworks at the MK at night. You could ask for room 5032 or 4032 which both had a view of the castle through the opening in the trees as of a couple of years ago.

I do call the WL # 1-407-824-3200 about 4 days before our trip and ask for my room preference. I have had good luck getting the room or close to it.

Since all calls go to the call center now, did you leave your room request with them?

Thanks! We'll be there December 1st for 3 nights :)

The last time I called was Feb. of this year. I told the person that answered the phone what I wanted. She pulled up my reservation gave me details about my ressie and said she noted my request. I got a room within three rooms of what I asked for. I asked for 5032 and got 5026. I don't know who answered the phone or where they were located. This was for the WL.

Does anyone know if there's a better floor plan map than this? I'm surprised that there's not a map similar to the AKL showing room numbers, etc vs. the published one of the WL showing just the roof of the building with no room numbers. I'm trying to remember where the service entrance is (deliveries etc.). Last time we were there our first room was up high (could see the fireworks), but the deliveries were happneing right below us. I think it was in the 058 room range, but I'm not sure. They moved us to the Villas side which was much quieter.

Back in 2005 we stayed in room 4010. We loved this room which had bunkbeds because it was very quite. It's close to Roaring Forks and very close to the boat dock if you don't mind walking down the stairs at the end of the hall. It's a little bit of a far walk back to the main lobby and the bus stop but we didn't mind.

The delivery area is on the north side(MK side) below the standard rooms and maybe some woods view rooms. The Villas side should be the south side. I believe those rooms would be 158 not the 058 you stayed in. I have stayed at WL 25 plus times, but haven't stayed in a standard room yet, so I can't comment on them. I have stayed in woods view rooms on both sides and the ones I have stayed in have been quiet.

Yes, the deliveries do take place underneath the standard rooms on the North side, and for those who don't sleep like a log (like me!) it CAN be a bit noisy in the morning. That being said, though, we had one of these standard rooms on the fifth floor (room 5056) and every night we were able to see a brilliant display of Magic Kingdom fireworks...very very unexpected and very very nice!
