Hello-
We are sending our son down to SSR on January 2 for his 21st birthday. He and his gf will be staying in a studio at SSR, first time for both of them at SSR, but they have both visited WDW many times, however, this is their first trip "together":lovestruc
Any advice on where to request room location at SSR? I would like to avoid the construction area, and they would probably like to be closer to DTD. Any suggestions?
I'm a little jealous, I gotta admit!!:upsidedow
Thanks all!

If they want to be closer to Downtown Disney, then the area to request is Congress Park. If they would rather be close to the main pool, spa, restaurant, and lobby, then they should request the Springs.

Congress Park is about a 10 minute stroll along the water to DTD. But be sure to request a DTD view when making the request. I found out the hard way once that requesting CP doesn't automatically get you that view. And it's AWESOME. :thumbsup2

I agree with Cee... Congress Park with a Downtown view is amazing !

If you are on high floor, it is also very private because you have no neighbours facing your balcony, just a beautifull view !

Unless, of course, somebody in the Characters in Flight balloon tries to look into your room using his binocular ! :goodvibes

We love Congress Park. I always request CP with Downtown Disney view and a higher floor. Once I requested a "water view" and we received a room on the side of the building - overlooking the lagoon. It wasn't exactly what I wanted - but I got what I requested. Lesson learned - so I now make sure to ask for Downtown view. We love that section because of the proximity to Downtown. On one trip we had 7 college kids with us and they took full advantage of the quiet pool and the ability to walk over to HOB, etc.
