Quick question about room keys, and I apologize if this has been asked before. We are arriving at OKW on the 6th (myself and DBF) staying on his parents DVC in a studio. Two days later his parents and the rest of the party will arrive to stay in a two bedroom. It is possible that one of the later arriving party will want to stay in the studio with us. Will it be possible to have a key assigned to them on their arrival for our studio or will we need to request extra keys when we check in in the event one of the extras wants to bunk with us?

TIA!!

You receive room keys for the people listed on the reservation. AFAIK, they will not give you "extra" keys.

Is either group doing the DDP? That would really complicate matters and you wouldn't want to switch the names on the reservations.

Does the person who might stay with you really need their own room key? Could they just come back to the room with you or use your key? (if you trust they won't room charge anything on the way to the room ;) )

What you describe could easily be done at the front desk, as long as you are present at the front desk at the time of the change...unless you or the 2 bedroom party, are getting the Dining Plan. That would complicate things.

The easiest thing to do, unless you are on the dining plan, would be to simply list that persons name on both reservations. You would then be issued their additional key when you check-in.

No DDP, so that won't be an issue.

Thank you for the help. Hopefully this will be all ironed out before we leave so we can just add names before we depart (if necessary).
