Does what you see on the WDW site reflect the true availability of rooms at any given resort? In other words, do you have a chance at getting a room not showing availability online if you actually call up and ask? Just wondering how well the two booking systems jive. Thanks!

About two weeks ago I was trying to book a room only ressie for the CBR on the web site and it kept saying only POR and CS were avaliable. When I called the 800 number I was able to get the ressie at the CBR with no problem. So I would say- call you may get what you want that is not avaliable on the web site. Good Luck.

Just another side . . . . last week I found what I wanted online but always feel better scheduling over the phone. When I called she said there were no rooms available at the WL at all - and that's the only place we wanted to stay. I told her the website said there were rooms and she said 'how odd, I show nothing'. I thanked her, went back online, the rooms were still available online so I thought what the heck. I made it through all the screens and was able to book a room. I received my confirmations in the mail today:D SO I guess you might try both ways. Good luck and pixie dust!!

A couple of hours ago I found a room online with the BAS code. My mom has ressies at POFQ where I am staying for 3 nights, but she wanted to stay at WL. We've been trying to get a good rate for a while and finally just got a studio at the villas at WL. So when my mom called the CM kept telling her there was nothing, but my mom insisted she got in on the website and magically the CM found the empty villa. She also transferred the deposit from the other hotel after holding for 20 minutes. Be persistent - they'll find what you are looking for.

I, too, found that the inventory online was different than what they had when I called. The CM told me that if I found it online, to book it there, because she didn't show the availablility I wanted. She said they have different "inventories" of rooms online vs. the phone.

I also have found that the inventory online is always best 1st thing in the morning (I usually check at 7am CDT). They must put the cancellations in overnight.

I've also been able to book online when CRO had no availability at a resort. The CMs I spoke with stated clearly that "their" block of rooms was separate from the "online" block of rooms. If anybody is still looking, a few weeks ago Southwest still had good (fall special) room rates on their website for on-site Disney hotels.

I actually got a week-end with a great discount on line for Dec 17th and 18th at Wilderness Lodge I had been trying through CRO for a month.
