Leaving the Ship with Water

Hello everyone. I know when it comes to taking off food from the Disney Cruise the food needs to be factory sealed. Do beverages also need to be factory sealed, or can you bring a filled reusable water bottle when getting off of the ship in ports?

Yes, you can take a water bottle off with you. Never had a problem in 8 cruises

I've always taken a reusable water bottle off the ship filled with water. We also took the bottles of water that was delivered to our room off too.

Reusable and packaged water is fine to take off.

So this food thing is something I’ve only just come across - we’re sailing for the first time in May. Does this mean if we were to visit a candy store at port (I may have pinned the Alaska Fudge Company on my map ) anything purchased from the counter would need to be eaten before the end of our cruise? We love to bring local candy back for friends while on holiday, don’t want to find myself with bags full that we then can’t take home!

Never had an issue taking anything off a ship, including open food (snacks, not dining room food).
