Room for 6 people

Thx everyone for the help.
In all honesty, one bathroom is the least of my concerns. We lived in a 1 bathroom hours for years. Convenience to the parks is probably my biggest concern. We spend very little time at the resorts.....even though we would spend a lot more time if we could afford to go back to the yacht club
Disney needs to make hotel rooms for families of 6
I'm also a little worried that I will be disappointing in the Cabins, as I'm not an outdoorsy person.
Help

Disney now has several options for families of 6. All Stars family suites, AOA Suites, FW Cabins, Wilderness Lodge Jr suites, Where have you ever had a single hotel room for 6?

industry standard is four to a room. When you have a larger group, you require larger accommodations. Disney offers all kinds of accommodations for groups of six, including suites, family suites, cabins, two bedroom villas. Larger accommodations cost more money, as does raising a family of six. Just a fact of life.

The Contemporary also has suites that sleep six, seven or eight persons. The Beach Club has a suite that sleeps seven people. AKL has suites that sleep six or eight.

We just recently returned from Disney and stayed at Art of Animation. Judging by your needs this might be the perfect spot, room for 6 and enough variety to appeal to all the kids. We really enjoyed it. I thought it would be too much theming but was pleasantly surprised, great spot

We also have 4 children and previously stayed in POR. Last trip (first with all 4 kids) we stayed in a deluxe room at WL and LOVED it!! The cost is not that much more than getting 2 rooms at a moderate and as a bonus you get club level access. The club lounge has a great continental breakfast as well as snacks and drinks all day. It was very convenient and a special perk that the kids really enjoyed. The deluxe room has a door that separates the main bedroom from the living area where DH and I slept. This was nice when putting younger children to bed early. Note that the room is not huge and there is only one bathroom, but the other amenities made it worth it for us. And the boat to MK is fantastic!

Depending on the time of year you go and the discount, these rooms run around $500 a night, which isn't bad for Disney, considering the location and the club level lounge access. I've looked at them for my family.

Out of curiosity, how was the sofa bed to sleep on?

We thought the sofa bed was fine! The mattress was a comfy memory foam type. I am not a great sleeper but slept well there.

When is it $500/night??
I was looking at a slow time, September, and it's $800/night.

I do appreciate everyone's help here!

You have to get a discount... Usually they offer a 25-30% discount on deluxe resorts ...For instance, in July, it's $730 per night, without the discount. If they were to do a 30% discount, it'd be $511 per night. A 25% discount would be about $550 per night.

They haven't released September general public discounts yet, and I haven't heard anything about PIN codes. Sometimes with PIN codes or Annual Pass discounts, you can get a 35% off "deal".

As another example, for 8/13-19, for 3 kids and 3 adults, the deluxe room at WL is $755 per night without a discount. With a 25% discount it'd be around $567.

We are a family of 6, and when we don't rent points for a DVC 2BR, we usually do AoA. The themes can be a little in your face, but having a separate master suite plus two semi separated areas with their own beds, and then another full bathroom is something that is hard to give up for us. At AoA, we put the girls in one bed, the boys in one bed, and then we lock ourselves in the master suite and barricade the door. I'm kidding. (Mostly)
