Which pass gives you discounts on rooms? I thought it was preferred which we have but when looking at benefits today it looks like premiere.

Thanks! Wanted to make sure I wasn't using a discount I shouldn't be!

P.S. I live between Chicago and Milwaukee too. Closer to Milwaukee :)

i'm practically next door to kenosha.

but, i do go to milwaukee for the brewer games.

Another Wisconsinite here!!! I do have a question. If I were to book at the AP rate and later down the road the rate goes down am I able to modify to that rate? and if so does one need to call in order to have it applied? Thank you! :confused3

Yes, you can get the lower rate if available and you need to call.:thumbsup2

We normally book and keep checking every few days until we leave. We have changed rates a lot.

bluer beat me to it.

yes, as long as you have booked with the ap, you can modify.

it is good to book early and use the rate they have then.
that way, you have taken one of the discounted ap rooms.
only a certain % of rooms are blocked out for the AP and AAA discounted rates.

once you are locked in, you only have to wait for the lower ap rates.

btw, brewers are losing right now. :sad1:

I am trying to get a room Dec 14 -17th, only the SMSM rate comes up. When I enter APH in the codes box on the reservation website I don't see any APH discounts. Am I doing something wrong??

in that case, call and talk to a TM for help at UO reservations
in fact, if you ask the TM how can i get the room for the best discount?, they will guide you and tell you the difference.

that is what i did when i read about the promo SMSM.

i had the other discount applied as i booked jan 3rd for my fall trip.
i switched to the 'stay more save more' a month ago as that price beat what i was paying.

i am there for 8 days so i did get the max discount on the room.

Thanks Macraven, I called today but the lady wasn't much help. She didn't know when the APH rates would be released and didn't have any ideas to offer. I'll just keep checking the board here and trying the website. It should be soon that the rates are out :goodvibes

Thank you for the replies. I have have one more question. I am currently booked under the save more package. I am staying for 3 nights. The current AP rate is cheaper then the package. Can I call and change from the package to the AP rate without penalty? This is my first stay at Universal and really don't know the rules and regulations. Thanks for all the help.

if you are 6 days out, you can cancel with no penalty.

from the website:

http://www.universalorlando.com/General_Information/termsofuse.aspx?Intsrch=cancellation policy

uo website:
CANCELLATION POLICY: The cancellation policy for Central Reservations will be one night’s room and tax if reservation is canceled within 5 days of arrival.
Special Restrictions may apply during holidays and special events.

if you have a package, the restrictions are:

Cancellation Fee for Bookings:
DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL PENALTIES
45 days or more Full refund*
44 – 6 days $100 fee per reservation, plus fees imposed by hotel, airline and/or other components
5-0 days $200 fee per reservation, plus fees imposed by hotel, airline and/or other components

if there are rooms available for the ap discount, switch then.

go for the best discount.

many homies modify their rates all the time.

if you booked a package, that would include room, park tickets.
add ons to a package maybe rt transportation from mco to the hotel, trip insurance, bed and breakfast, etc.
