Room charge question

We returned from Disney on Sept. 3 and had charged a fair amount of stuff to our card. When we left I read that I did not have to check out and that the amount would be charged to my card and I would receive an invoice via email the day of check out.

Well, I still haven't received an invoice yet and I just checked my account and they had taken out a very exact amount. Not that the amount could be incorrect but I have a very hard time believing we charged exactly $500.00 to our room while there.

Do they charge in increments or something? I just can't believe we spent exactly that amount. Could I call Disney and see if I still have a balance on my account? Can they even look that up a week after checking out?

The concierge desk will provide a tally of your charges daily, upon request. I never remember receiving an e-mail of my charges; I have always gone to the concierge desk each day and compare it against my slips each night.

You can call CRO and ask them if they can retrieve the charges you made while there to your KTTW.

It doesn't take long for those charges to add up.

They will charge your card in increments, based on the level of your resort; value is $500.00; mod is $1,000.00 and deluxe is $1,500.00

Call CRO, if they can't help you they may put you through to accounting or billing, I can't remember which. I did this after a recent stay. The accounting folks were able to get my question answered. :thumbsup2

Typically as long as they have your current email address on file they send it to you on the morning you checkout. I've been able to browse through mine while waiting for the ME bus on our last several trips. Depending on how much you charged you might have multiple charges to your credit card if you hit the spending limit and they had to authorize your card again. Also anything you charged during the last few hours of your trip the night before you checkout might also come as a separate charge if your card was already run. Our trip in August ended up coming as 3 charges because we had one for hitting our limit and reauthorizing the card again, then a second one for the charges leading up to our last day, then a third charge to cover some late night charges on our last night at DTD. You can definitely call and get a bill sent to you, I had to request one from the GF in January because I didn't get the email.

When doing Express Checkout, our room charges were always hanging on the door by 9a the morning of checkout. Never have received an email invoice.

When staying a value resort, they will process your card once you reach $500 in charges. Then again at the next $500 or at the conclusion of your stay. Mods run every $1000 & Deluxe/DVC every $1500.

I expect if you see a $500 charge that your total actually exceeds $500 & I would think you'd see another charge for the balance.

For future, you can get a print out from the front desk at any time upon request.

That use to be the norm but Disney has gone more with this paperless bill via email as long as they have your current email on file. OP, make sure you are checking the email account you have associated with your Disney website login. :)

That would be awesome!

I believe that would mean that you would have the entire bill; instead of one the night before you leave or the time when you check-out, since some of us are still charging even when we check out!

call and speak with their accounts should have had that invoice emailed. we had problems ha to call three times then i recieved the invoice. got to be sure you were charged correctly we had problems for $40 charge finally the gave us credit you have to call and you have to check they could be wrong.

Interesting that some people get it via email. We do 4 visits per year & we have never received our bill via email (and I am 100% certain it is on file). This includes DVC reservations as well as rack rate & AP discounted cash stays. Wonder if it is resort specific?

The last three visits I have made (March, May, August) the express check out envelope was not on the door. I had to go to the front desk and ask for such. Getting it took a good deal longer than I was expecting at 2 of the 3 resorts. I never received an email copy??? Maybe they made a note that I got a hard copy???

I want to get mine there to resolve any issues while I am still at the resort.

We were at WDW the end of August and it took a week after we checked out for our final part of the room charges to show up deducted from our debit card account.

And we did get both the print out packed under the door as well as the emailed list of room charges.
