I was wondering if anyone could recommend a nice place for my wife and I to sneak off to one night. We are going with a party of 9 so someone can stay back with the kids. We are staying at BCV but we can go anywhere in the "World". I think she might like to eat in France but I'm kinda picky, but I think I can make the sacrifice :laundy:. I am open to any and all suggestions. Thanks! Oh yeah we hate seafood!!! :confused3

Chef's de France is pretty good and has some standard items. I'm pretty picky too and have found a few items I will eat.

If that doesn't work - the Yachtsman Steakhouse at YC is really good. So is Todd English's Blue Zoo over at either the Swan or Dolphin ( I can't remember which resort that one is at. ) Raglan Road at DTD is excellent too.

Happy Planning!

If you are thinking of France, then go to the Bistro de Paris which is the more elegant restaurant on the 2nd floor. Its a bit more expensive but it certainly delivers in the romantic department.

Otherwise, I'd also vote for Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge. A very romantic setting.

If you're looking for truly romantic Bistro is the place. It's so elegant and intimate. Food's good too!

Artists Point at Wilderness Lodge

or

Yachtsman Steakhouse at Yacht & Beach

or

Le Cellier -- I like the intimate size of this restaurant and the food is yummy too.

I second the Yachtsman Steakhouse. It's a nice quiet and intimate place to have dinner, and I really like their dinner menu. If you time your dinner around 7:00-7:30, afterwards you can catch a part of the EPCOT firework show from the bridge and then walk to Jellyrolls for some fun.

I'll add another vote for Bistro de Paris. The menu is not so exotic to alienate a picky eater, and it sounds like your wife would be thrilled with the place. Also, it's one of the more "grown up" upscale establishments.

I also have to throw out a recommendation for Jiko because it's easily my favorite restaurant in the World. The service and food have never disappointed us and we find the restaurant to be ambient, dark and, for the most part, quiet. Also, the Animal Kingdom lodge is full of wonderful lounges for before or after dinner drinks.
