Romantic Dinner?

My cousin and his girlfriend will be vacationing with us, and they are wondering if there is a place for them to have a nice romantic dinner without prices that are outlandish. I think that the Blue Bayou is a little out of the price range that they're looking for. Any suggestions?

Wine Country Trotarria has a very nice feel. At night on the outside there is candle light. The waiters are dressed somewhat formally. The menu can seem a little nicer for park food and can easily get out for under $40-50. Check out allears.net for the menu. Good luck

Person A orders a meal then at Blue Bayou. Person A and B each get choice of soup or salad, their own sides and half an order of entree for the price of a split plate fee. Cheap and romantic.

I am a bit of a food snob, and price range is fairly subjective, but if I was recommending a place for a nice dinner, I would say Catal or Ralph Brennan's over anything actually inside the parks.

Is the Jazz Kitchen really loud? I know that the food is well liked (we will definitely be checking it out!), but I'm wondering if it's quiet enough for a romantic dinner.

It can be. We were seated right in front of the band one time, and it was pretty loud, but we also had a really great time, and it was quite memorable. Sitting outside can certainly cut back on the volume though!

It's either half a soup or half a salad. For the gumbo, half would be very little. The salad would be better

That place doesn't have the atmosphere, or nearly as good food as Blue Bayou, plus it's in the same price range!

I say Bayou, but that's just me...my wife and I love it!!!

I agree it is not as romantic as BB. But Op said that BB was a little out of the price range. You can get the two lasagnas for $13.00 each. Some pasta disshes and Salads for less. If you do not get an app or dessert, you could easily walk out of there for under $40. We never walk out of BB for under $80 for the 3 of us. But we had 4 get out of WCT for $60. Don't get me wrong BB is our favorite and we eat there atleast twice every trip. But you can have a nice, inexpensive meal by candlelight at WCT.

Oh, well the waitress must have got that wrong then as I asked specifically on the split plate. I hope someone can get some pictures of a split plate.
