Hello everyone I was just looking for some reviews on this package that Disney offers. Are the robes comfortable? Is it worth the price? My Fiance:lovestruc and I want to take a cruise for our honeymoon :love:and I wanted to know if I should invest in this or save the money for excursions

We did this a long time ago, like 2008, but it looks like it's the same stuff.

The robes are a waffle weave poly-cotton, not the fluffy soft kind, but fine for tropical weather. The night they delivered it, they made a big heart on our bed out of rose petals which was pretty awesome. It was the night we had Palo reservations, I'm not sure if it's always on a specific night, if you can ask for a certain one or if they just leave it to the room steward to do. Like I said, it was a while ago and I don't remember.

As far as being worth it, I don't know. I'm sure a bottle of sparkling cider and some chocolates are not worth $100. I'm not sure how much the robes cost in the gift shop, but if you wanted two regardless you might as well have them delivered with some extra goodies. :)

I would rather spend the $$$ on a nice excursion. We really aren't fans of sparkling cider, but if you really want it, you could bring your own in your carry-on. You could also bring your own rose petals. The florist who's doing your wedding could get you a bag full. Room service could deliver some nice desserts, but there's plenty of that in other areas of the ship.

Do you think you would wear the robes after your cruise? We get more use out of our Disney Cruise t-shirts.

I have been debating to get this for my DH we will be on the Fantacy in Dec around the time of our 8th Anniversary. Planning on the kids being at their clubs..:) its either this or doing a couples villas... not sure which yet.. probably the robes and champagne cheaper night...

Anyone with recent reviews on this gift?

i had thought about ordering this but i wanted to switch out the champagne for white wine. they told me it couldn't be done so i decided against it. dh does not drink at all and i would only have an occasional glass of wine.
i'll be interested to know how it is though.

We treated ourselves to this on our cruise the week before last. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary so thought blow the cost but it turned out to be totally worth it as we were cruising Alaska and the robes were so handy for going out on the verandah first thing in the morning or last thing at night when there was definitely a nip in the air!

We had the alcoholic option which the website said would be champagne but we were given Martini Asti which delighted us as it's what we always buy for Christmas and special occasions at home, and it was the toast that we had at our wedding all those many moons ago!

The robes are still the waffle weave material, comfortable but not too heavy. I've just washed them (they washed well and didn't shrink) and packed them away ready for our next cruise as IMO the only thing that DCL lets itself down on is that it doesn't provide robes in staterooms.

wow i'll sell you my never been worn or even unrolled robe for half the disney price. j/k
We booked this on our first cruise in the old Romance Package to get the unofficially part of the deal, 105 day Palo reservations. It was worth every penny to get the no stress Palo brunch and dinner instead of officially booking at 75 days out. The current package, I'm not sure is such a great deal.

I wanted the get the package that includes one robe (DH won't wear one). Is it calf-length or shorter? How is the sizing? Thanks!

It was calf-length on me but I'm only 5'2"!

I've just measured them (like I said they haven't shrunk after washing :thumbsup2 ), when laid flat the robe measures 23" across the back from side seam to side seam and the length is approx 40".

Identical robes (I mean the quality not the embroidery!) were $80 in the Pan Pacific Vancouver where we stayed pre-cruise and much thinner ones were $40 at the Candy Cane Inn where we've just stayed in Anaheim.

I'm really glad we bought the package - this cruise was our anniversary present to ourselves and it helped make it even more special. The chocolates were nice and the rose lasted all week. We also had a lovely card from DCL congratulating us on our anniversary.

Hope this helps. :goodvibes
