Hi Rusty, welcome to the gang. Wow, what a crowd. You just beat out Barb's group of 10. Are you one of the Dad's or the Gramp!

Diana, where are you? Susan, Beth and Lauren too?

I'm a dad... For my wife, two kids and I, this is our second DC. We did the four night May 2001 on Wonder. The rest of our group are virgin cruisers.:earseek:

Welcome NSMguy: The sailaway is at the front of the ship. Everything else is correct that was told to you.

Bonnie: Yes, I am a nurse. I work with Alzheimer's patients. They love the Disney scrubs as much as I do. One is a real Tigger fan, she always smiles when I wear one with him on it. She has Tigger bedding and a stuffed Tigger. They have just come out with a bunch of new styles, one is Tinkerbell all over.

Well Denine I guess we could make you an honorary Dudette as the three of us are nurses. #2 &3 work post partum, I work for the "bad guys" , a helath insurance company. We go to WDW annually and this is our second cruise. It took awhile to find the right combination of 3 people travelling together but we have found it.

Just changed the dinner ressies for the 3 of us for the late seating and requested though no guarentee for rotation PLAP. Unfortunately she had to put in for a table for 4 for us which means we may not meet others at dinner. I guess that has it's pros and cons. By the time the cruise comes along the CM's on the reservation line will probably have a wanted poster of me for calling so much.

See I can get on Disney Dudette #1. I had to change my name a little but I made it. I may be slightly computer illiterate but remember Disney Dudette #3 hasn't even read her e-mail. Hello to all my fellow cruisers. I am the one who gets VERY excited and am impossible to stand when the cruise time gets close. Can't wait to meet everyone and we are going to bring some exotic wine from the state of New Jersey to the wine tasting party. To answer the question about gowns - I do have a ball gown which I couldn't resist, one black cocktail dress with beading, a few other dresses and lots of capris.

:bounce: Yea Jeanne!! You all don't know that this is a milestone for the one who cannot print. Now I have to watch what I say about her. We'll work on # 3 and see what we can do about getting her signed up!!:Pinkbounc

Wow, thought I'd stumbled into the wrong thread for a second there! Welcome everyone.
Jeanne, well done, you did it! We are all very proud. (but really, you should hear some of the things Bonnie was saying about you;) )

Garry, you've got some 'splainin' to do... For a guy registered June of 2000, WHERE HAVE YA BEEN? I bet you and your family have been on a previous cruise ... maybe near June of 2000?
Well, however our fellow cruisers get here, welcome.

I wonder how full the cruise is? I want an upgrade!!!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Holiday. I have been working
overtime today :( But the extra money means more Disney spending money!

Welcome Garry!!!

Upgrades eh?? I knew I should have booked my Mom in
a different cabin and hoped for the upgrade.
Do they offer pretty good prices on the upgrades?

;)

Hey Barb, I was wondering why you were emailing me from work today. That money is good to have though.
I want a FREE upgrade! Hey, I WANT IT ALL. Aggggh!!! (she finally falls into a fit of hysterical laughter)

Laurie, Katie has me playing personal secretary for her now, typing while she dictates her emails to Kristen. Jeeez!
Does anyone know if Katie will be allowed to bounce back and forth between her own age-group club(9), and also her little brothers(7)?

Yeah, you caught me! I don't get in here nearly as much as I would like to due to work.

We went on our first cruise in Jan 2000 (4-day Wonder), than followed it with the 7-day last October. Loved it both times. This time we have one of the "secret porthole rooms". We enjoy a verandah, but couldn't see spending the extra money this time around.

Looking forward to seeing all of you in October!

Hi to all, Just checking in.
Welcome to our new friends...This bunch is nuts (me included);)

Oh, Gary...Yeah, a 3-year-old girl. My clare will be 3 1/2 on the cruise. Will Mackenzie be going to the clubs? Clare would love to have a "friend" and that would really help her break into the clubs.

Krista

Welcome back everyone. It was getting pretty lonely here but we kept it going. I hope everyone had a wonderfu holiday. It was a wash out here in NJ. Rained most of the weekend.

Ok now let's see if Dudette #2 can login and send more messages. Look out though because her excitement has not peaked yet.

Does everyone have little ones? Are we the only all adult travelers? I love kids and will gladly be an honorary "aunt". I will not admit to being old enough to be a grandmother although I guess I be since my son was married in July. I'm still a kid inside.

How many of us have the late dining? I actually requested the PLAP dinner rotation. We'll see if we get.

Glad your all back, and I can't wait to meet you all. :smooth:

My husband and I have the most wonderful 5 yo son, Robert. He started kindergarten this morning. I met the bus driver and followed it to school, taking pictures and sobbing all the way.

What's this business about changing times for dining. I phoned DCL last week and was told that my family's seating was the "early" one at 6:00 p.m. That time is great for us and permits us to enjoy evening shows/activities afterward.

By the way, I've got 2 formal gowns. One that I got from Burlington Coat Factory (they don't just sell coats you know) -- a glittery, form fitting one that makes me scratch but looks great. And a much too expensive one from Talbots, but got it on sale, that is blue too. DH will be wearing (and whinning) in his suit and I've got to come up with something appropriate for Robert.

Happy Packing.

Sandy (II?)

Hi everyone!! We are still around up here! Just got back from our trek to Tybee Island, GA and West Palm Beach late yesterday afternoon. After all that driving am soooo happy we are flying in October! School started today! 2 down and 2 to go!!!!!
Welcome Garry! That's two from Ohio isn't it? (We lived in Mentor for 3 years and Brecksville for 7 yrs. before coming here 4 yrs ago).
Dudettes - we have 4 young 'uns and bringing along a 5th! (DS10, DS's friend 10, DD's 6,4,3) We should be filling up the clubs!!!!!
Took all our wine and beer to my parents in Tybee Island and they will bring it all down to the port with them so we are set! Brought 2 bottles of Late Autumn Reisling made here in Ontario for the wine tasting - it's great - a dessert wine though! Or should I bring only 1 bottle of dessert wine and one other bottle? Believe me when I say we brought enough to have many choices!! LOL

you guys have been pretty chatty - had to read about 5-6 pages to catch up! getting pretty psyched now!!!!!!!

I did end up borrowing a dress from my dad's wife. It's blue shimmery - ankle length - very pretty. For semi-formal will just wear a above knee dress - I think! Sandy (II) - I LOVE Talbots but you're right when you say they're expensive - can only buy things on sale but their sales are GREAT!!! I also sobbed and followed the school bus when my FIRST one went to Kindergarten! A little teary this morning for the 2nd ones first day of 1st grade - BUT I still have TWO more at home!!! Lia (the 4 yr old starts Kindergarten a week from Thursday and Annika the 3 yr old starts preschool next Monday. I'm getting there :)

have a great day all!!!!

Jeanne: Yeah you did it, now, let's see some more posts!

Gary: Welcome! Have you seen the info about the sailaway party and wine party? We live right around the corner from you; Strongsville. DH is originally from Parma. His parents live right by the hospital.

It is just the 2 of us! They won't let our "children" on board
:( But, I promise to clean their litter boxes :o

Lori ----

I too, am playing secretary for Kristen. The problem is that I think that she can type faster than me!!!!! It sound like they are both excited. Regarding the kids activities, I think that it should be ok for them to bounce between the age groups, or at least until the younger ones get more comfortable. We ARE the customers right, and I know from experience that Disney aims to please.

Starting to make my list and check it twice.................

Hello everyone. I know I haven't been that chattly, but I do read the tread almost everyday.

Formals - long black with sequines & a lond red with little sparkles on the top. Husband will wear suit. I'm taking my mother shopping this weekend to hit some sales for her.

Kids - Twin girls, Conner & Hannah age 9. Gunner 4.

Excitement level - VERY HIGH!!!!

It seems so close, but yet so far away.

Beth
