Hi all!
That rafting trip sounds fun. I am getting very anxious to get going. A whole 6 months between vacations is killing me!
Endometriosis can show up anywhere in the abdomen. So far, mine only appears to be on the uterus and he cleaned that off. You bet I will still be drinking wine. I have 2 wine parties to go to. The 10-12 and the 10-19 cruise!

Thanks for the input.
I just can't decide...
Is the Halloween party really worth it for a 3 year old. Will it be better than dinner at California Grill and early night in before a full day at MK?
You all are so good at advice, let me hear it...
Krista

About 2 years ago I strated going to Curves - a work out place for just women. I also did the Weight Watchers 123 plan for about 3 months when I started working out, then I went back to eating just like a normal "pig".

I know working out is not fun. I NEVER worked out before in my life. I even found a way to get out of gym class in high school!!! In the first 3 months of working out I lost 25 pounds & 20 inches from my body. I never reached my goal weight. Still 10 pounds to go, but hey I am still proud of myself.

Anyway, give it a try. 30 minutes - 3 times a week. It's a great way to make friends & have support of other women working towards the same goal as you.

I still work out 3 times a week & really plan to keep it up. If I can stick to it - anyone can.

Hi everyone! Thanks for all the input. I know exercise is a great key to weight loss but I have bad knees and have had foot surgery on both feet. In fact, I wear orthotics. No sandals or bare feet. Dress shoes are very hard for me to wear. Should be interesting for my feet when I dress formally. I just grin (with a fake grin) and bare it. Swimming is a thought, however, last time I attempted it to lose weight my weight counselor begged me to find another exercise because I made muscle and didn't lose pounds. I can't do anything normal!! I did lose the weight after I quit. I didn't even exercise. Diana, no diet coke?????? I can't go through the day without my "fix".

Your rafting trip sounded out of this world. Might need to talk to you more, Lori, and get the specifics. Ted would love it. Have you been to the Boundary Waters in Minnesota? It is somewhat like that but without the guides. You have to do the work.

Krista, I have stayed at both Caribbean Beach and Port Orleans Riverside. (formally Dixie Landings) Absolutely loved both but POR is our favorite. Loved the boat to Downtown Disney. It had a fun pool, too. I highly recommend that you stay at one of those instead of the Radisson. The atmosphere for the kids is well worth it!!!

How is everything going, Denine?

Sorry Lori, I can only wear a size 10 shoe.

I should be deciding this weekend's menu and packing the RV so I better go before I get caught slacking. Have a good weekend everyone. Sandy

Sandy, I don't have feet problems but I do have problems with being uncomfortable ;) I do not even own a pair of heels and I'm only 5'1" (almost!) and my DH is 6'! My dad's wife says she has a couple of wonderful dresses I might want to take for formal night so depending on if they fit and what they look like I might end up buying some heels but would prefer not to. I always put comfort above fashion (even got married in flats). I say wear what FEELS good!

IF I was lucky enough to go down early (like going on the cruise isn't lucky enough!!!!) I would go to the halloween party at MK and sleep in then go to Downtown Disney, the pool, rides on the monorail and nice dinner - Chef Mickey's or something the next day. We found the lines were short to none, there were bands all around, face painting, parades, special fireworks, tons and tons of trick or treating, etc. etc. When we went we only had 2+ kids, they were 5, 16 mo. and I was 7 mo. pregnant. We had a blast and stayed until it was over at 12 midnight! Was scheduled to go last year but ended up cancelling so it is a MUST next year! Kids dress up, yadda yadda yadda........

You have to do what is right for you, not what someone else thinks is right! I'm just offering my opinion on what would be right for MY family.

Hey Lori, have you done an up to date listing of our group?

Sandy, let's get together again! We'll talk about rafting. I'll make a salad! I'll show you the skirt I have for formal nights and get your opinion (I think it's too bland, but...). I just hope I can find suitable tops! My kids want to meet you, etc., etc.

Diana, I just looked at the list and there are a few more!
I hope everyone will pop in and say "Hi"
Did I forget someone's name who we have met?
Hummm, with all these people, we might not get those Walt and Roy suite upgrades after all.

I don't want to buy a long dress. Maybe I'll find a cocktail length that will do. I just haven't run across anything at the grocery store, gas station or Family Dollar. LOL Go figure.
School starts in 2 1/2 weeks! I'll start going to real stores again!
I'm not looking forward to returning to the homework challenge again though. Does anyone else have trouble with that?

Good luck on your planning Krista. I'm afraid I have no input at all on that subject.

Talk to you all later, Lori

Think we have taken the disney property plunge.
Will be staying at the Caribbean Beach(I guess that is the official name). This is so awful, usually I am such a planner, but had no idea of Disney properties since I just knew we would stay off-site.
I think this will be better to get around and we can see fireworks and use in-property transportation.
DH is just not sold on the Halloween party. Is it a must for a 3-year-old? Help...
Krista

Relax and enjoy!! I am sure that you would have a great time with either plan, but I know that it is hard to plan when you have unpredictible little ones! It is hard to forcast what kind of a mood they will be in.
:D

And Lori, you are right, the "Homework Blues" are just around the corner. I can totally relate. Kristen will also be missing a lot of school to go on the cruise since we are driving, but I think it will work out. Last time she got all of her work done while we were driving, and we left all the homework in the car before we boarded the ship. When we got back she was actually ahead of the class!! A first!! ;)

Have a great day everyone!!

Laurie

Hi Krista,

If your DH isn't sold on the Halloween party, keep your plans to visit the parks the next day. It is late for a 3 year old and you don't want her to be cranky the next couple of days!!! It would be a good excuse to go again some October when she is bigger and your DH thinks she can handle the late night better! Remember, you want everyone to be happy and you will get to go to MK the next day and she will get to see it in the daylight. I think as long as you get to go to the park, it shouldn't matter that much when (she is only 3 and I will assume you will go back someday?) You will have fun no matter........ it's a great start to a great week!!!!!!!!!!! Are you wine tasting so you know what to bring to share with everyone?

I am tired of being ill!!!!!!!!!
I finally got over the surgery and now I have a sinus/inner ear thing    I am really dizzy. I went to the doc yesterday and got stocked up on pills. I hope this is all out of my system come cruise time!!!!!!!

I got shore excursion info in the mail yesterday for the 10-12 cruise. Hopefully we will get something soon for this cruise. Fianl payment is due 8/20.

Is it time to go yet??????????? I need a break!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to all of you for the input in our hotel/Halloween party dilemma.
We are staying at the Caribbean Beach, as I said above, anyone else?
We have also decided to not do the Halloween party. I am thinking that everyone else will be doing it and MK will be virtually empty on Friday(LOL).

Now to bigger and better things. OF COURSE we are wine tasting. I am so excited to meet everyone and share in some fun. Have we decided when(time, place, etc.)?
Have a great weekend everyone. We are off to visit my parents in Tulsa.
Krista

Wow, have we ever dropped to page 4. Well I'll bump it up and with some questions.

We have just learned that my husband has a conference in Orlando after the cruise(I know, cry for me now). Our dilemma is this...Dolphin hotel yea or nay,Off property, or what...

Need some help, have looked at the hotel board, but honestly, I like you guys better LOL.

Also, do the resorts do anything special for Halloween. I know the Mickey's party is going on at MK, but what about the Swan/Dolphin.

Have a good day,
Krista

Hi Krista - I was JUST going to rescue us from the back pages and you popped up!

Have never stayed at the Swan/Dolphin but if I had the chance (for free no less) I wouldn't hesitate! I THINK the Boardwalk has Halloween activities but am not sure, worth checking into though.

Well gang, we are only 2 weeks away from making excursion ressies - what a hard life trying to decide to snorkel, catamaran, submarine, beach........   Need more time in St. Thomas!

How are you feeling Denine? I get terrible sinus infections so can sympathize, hopefully by October you'll have it all out of your system.

Can you believe it is almost here.
After we all have talked and talked it really is going to be a reality.
I think up to now it has been a blur, even dh is getting excited. We have finally started talking about it with Clare.
Yahooooooo
Krista

Hi guy! Gosh, time is really flying now. Just realized that it is time for the final payment and ressies. Can't wait. Still don't think that we will take any excursions. We will probably reserve the blue mats on CC and parasail there, too. I know that Lori can't believe that nervous nellie will do it. Neither can I!!!!!!!! Anybody have some valium to get me through it? Ha!

Question, anybody wearing a formal gown and the hubby just a suit????

My DH is definately only wearing a suit and I don't know yet. Going to my Dad's the last week of August and will discuss clothes with his wife. She said she had a couple of gowns so I might wear one of hers if it fits. She is wearing a long dress and my dad is wearing a jacket (not even a suit). Will let you know....

Hey guys, just an idea here.... Does anyone have any ideas on how we could make pictures of ourselves available for just each other to see for a little while? I know there's photo briefcases on Yahoo or something, but I don't know if we could all get into it and add our own uploads. Does anyone have ideas.
I was looking into this IMG button, but the photo needs an http address and that's technologically beyond ME. I was going to put on a rafting pic of my family. (Show you how I look with sand and algae in my hair!)

It would be cool to see faces on you all! Then we'll recognize each other like old, OLD buddies :p

Let me know.
Lori:crazy:

You know Lori--I was thinking the same thing. It would be fun to "see" everyone a head of time. If the computer doesn't work, how about just starting a "round robin" and sending it in the mail. Anyone familiar with that? I could send a picture to Lori, she would then send my pic along with hers to someone else and so on until all of us were included. It would then come back to me in the end so I could see everyone. I could give back the pics on the cruise. We could just e-mail one person for their address. If we don't pass pics I would love to see some sort of name tags at the wine tasting that would include our computer name and real name. Sandy might not stand out but Jiminy should. Have a good evening everyone!

I guess we need to get direct e-mails to send pics. My lovable computer nerd hubby just looked at this and said it is a no-go unless you have a website with pics.
Does snapfish.com or any of those do this?
I'm a go for e-mails.
Mine is krista
Bye
