Denine, Bonnie ... I have a charting gripe. Last weekend I was called in to do an MRI on a little old, 'pleasantly confused' ICU pt. The nurse signed the Safety questionnaire on the pt's behalf. Guess who ended up having a pacemaker? I just happened to feel a lump on the little old ladies chest while transferring her from cart to table. When I took her back up to the floor and asked where they got the info for answering the questionnaire, (a family member by phone, etc.) her nurse said that she just looked thru the chart and didn't see mention of any of the listed 'no-nos' so she checked them off as not being present.

I was actually productive today! I altered a jacket for Cody to wear, now I just need to shorten the pants and this kid will look sharp on formal night! Katie went and grew about 4 inches since I last saw her in her long dress, the little rat! Well, it's still close enough. At least the shoes are new and pretty ... since they'll certainly be showing!

Re documentation for MRI=that is a crime. to be in ICU and the nurse (was she the one assigned to the Pt.?) didn't know she had a pacemaker? SO much for that physical assessment!

By the way, I worked at the Disney Store yesterday and great sale began at 6:00 last night with no warning. That means it can also be taken away just as fast. All videos and DVD's are being sold for $10 except for Monster's. People were really loading up with 5 and 10 videos and dvd's. I hope you guys can take advantage of this because even your Disney Club and DVC discounts are eligble, making dvd's $9 each. It is supposed to go through Saturday but supplies are very limited, at least at my store.

Hi everyone....Mickey02's mom here. I finally got on after numerous tries. Everyone getting excited and ready to sail...I know Barb has been for months and it is catching just being around her. I went on my first cruise in June with my son's family to Alaska. The ship was out of this world but I hear the Disney one is even better.

My parents are joining us too! The good thing about Disney is there is something for everyone, no matter how young!

Mornin all. Oh, an interseting event got started last night, but it was removed by the moderator before going too far. LOL So... I went to bed.

Bonnie, it was a 'travelling nurse that had just been assigned to her. My gripe was that charts shouldn't be depended on in a situation like that. A family member should have been called for her full surgical history, cause you probably won't find an aneurysm clip on a physical assesment, ya know? Ahh, the stories ... that we WON'T post HERE!
