How devastating for you and your family. You truly are in our thoughts and prayers. If there is ANYTHING any of us could possibly do for you we will.

I worked with down syndrome children for a long time. It is very difficult to understand their mental functions. At most times they act like a young child, but then sometimes they kick into high gear and seem to know more than they "should". I hope you all can help your sister through this devastating time and grieve yourselves.

Once again, I am so sorry and wish for you: comfort.

Laurie, I am so sorry to hear of you dad's passing. It will be a very difficult time for you but hopefully friends and family will help you through. As had been said previously, I am here for you and if you need anything, I don't want you to hesitate to ask. If you need someone to talk to, please, call me. I lost my dad 2 years ago and it was very hard. Even losing a dear pet is hard. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Please give John and Kristen our love.

Oh Laurie, that is so devastating. You had me crying there, just imagining how you feel. I'm so sorry for your mother to have had to go through that. Hang in there. You can get through anything you know. I'm glad that you did share with us. I think there is a real love and concern for each other here on our board. I'm feeling better about the stupid recent stresses that were invading my peace. I can't believe I can let someone bother me so much. Had to let that go and get back to my happiness.

DEAREST LAURIE: Don't worry about your Dad because his Westie is waiting for him at the Rainbow Bridge to escort him into heaven! The sad part is the family has to go on without him. Please accept my sincere sympathy.

It is really cold in New Jersey & we are expecting more SNOW tomorrow. IT ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! I really want to go to Delaware & see Mary Lou's new house but we are leaving early Friday morning. How am I going to shop till I drop with snow?

Do the different spellings of my name really mean different things Mom or are you just telling me that? What does Patricia mean? And how come you and Barb are both Queens and I'm a Duchess?

I'm sure your father went peacefully and has his Westie for a companion with him. Just remember he isn't alone and neither is your family. Laurie: I am so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I am ill again. I must have picked it up at work this weekend. It is a tummy bug with a low grade fever. I keep getting the chills and I am wiped out. Jerry took Kaleigh to the store, so i have some time alone. He came home from work early so I could go to bed. He worked from here and will sign on again later.

We are now at the 4th snowiest winter and almost at the 3rd snowiest. We are on pace to have the snowiest. If there is global warming, how come the top 5 snowiest winters are all in the last 20 years? I had to work Sunday and there wasn't a single sonwplow on the road. Of course we had freezing rain before the snow.

It sounds like you all had fun at the wine party.

Julie: It sounds like my MIL is going to have a pampered chef party. Jerry's cousin's wife sells it. I never bought anything from her and don't plan to if my MIL does have a party.

I am very tired, so I will say goodbye for now.

(are they referring to my homemade wine? (well, it WAS pretty BAD. And then there's those herbs I tincture up... and I am trying to type with a snake crawling around on me while Katie cleans the cage...) OK, maybe they're on to something.

After the party, I hit Amazon.com to use up a gift certificate that my sister emailed me for my birthday. I know I got a book for next years homework saga, "What your 5th grader needs to know" and I know I got something else, but I've forgotten what it is just at this moment ... it will come to me. (litterally ) I almost got one of the 'famous foods' t-shirts at Marshal Fields. It was "Sushi in the sky with diamonds" but I didn't have enough for that AND the school book so I didn't. This is proof enough that I was still acting quite responsibly. I wonder what else I got? I got an email notice today, that it's on back-order, whatever it is.
It's snowing! Yea!

Sorry to hear about your Dad. Losing a parent is devastating, especially when you think you have time left with them. I lost my mother when she was 50 from cancer. Again, my condolences.

Well, drawing on my younger days (pre-marriage!), I believe the name comes from the fact that your main goal is to have your boxers on briefly.
