Not much to say....Can't believe Kathy won the Mole and Frederique was the Mole. Knew about Frederique but not Kathy.

See what excitement my life brings..

I have had a truly sad couple of days. My good friend and neighbor died last night. She was suffering from an ear infection and apparently had menicocal strep fluid in her (not a doctor, remember). Her ear drum ruptured and the fluid went into her brain and killed her. She has 3 lovely children adopted from Korea 11, 14, and 17 and a loving husband. Life is just too short.

Sorry to depress, but not much to say.

Get well everyone. Look forward to the CM catalog. Congrats and can't wait to see the pics Denine. Sandy, too funny, wish we could make up our mind about the cruise this far out.

Hug your loved ones.
With love, Krista

Krista, I am so sorry for your friend and you! I agree life is way to short! But one thing I can say for your friend even though I hadn't met her, is she was lucky to have such a great friend and neighbor like you! I know that her stay on earth was short, but with you, Dave, and Clare in her family's lives made it a happy one!

Denine, after this weekend maybe things will slow down and we can get together. I can't wait to see pictures of Kaleigh in her gown! When the adoption goes through, we will DEFINITELY get together and celebrate! You and Jerry saw how we celebrated you getting Kaleigh (remember the Amazon Trail?) watch out for the official day!:p
Oh by the way, Garry wants to know what you're making for dinner on Friday and when do you want us? :teeth: We will just go to Bonnie's alittle late that's all. By the way, we did have wind gusts up to 53mph last night.

Sandy, you are too funny! I love reading your posts! Addiction to this thread is ok by the medical field so no 12 steps!

Hey Lori, any of those girl scout cookies left? I love them!

Hi Laurie, Lori, Susan, Bonnie the Lurker, Jeanne, Sally, Barb, Patty, Diana - where ever you are, Darren - WE NEED AN UPDATE!!!!!!, Krista, Denine, Ted, Turner, Paul, Glenn, John, Ben, Dick, Bob, Ken, Dave, Greg, Jerry, and everyone else! I hope I didn't forget anyone!

First things first....

Happy Bithday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy BIrthday dear Glenn....Happy BIrthday to you!!!!! I'm assuming you are lurking. LOL!

Krista...I am so sorry to hear about your friend and neighbor. How awful. And so young also. That really makes it hard.

I got the computer back Monday night but have been busy fighting with it ever since. Still can't get my AIM up and running. Just got the printer working late last night after days of fighting with it. I have been working on a little project here and it is finally coming together. I will admit that I have been lurking here. I'm allowed!

Glad to hear you had a fun evening last week Denine.

Ha! Julie and Garry you can't come here this weekend...big storm on it's way!

Jeanne-if you want to make the reservation for yourself feel free. I am not ready at this point to make the 2004 cruise reservation. It is too early for me to plan.

I had a quick chat with Darren this weekend...he is still waiting for the background check and then visa. IF it all comes together he will start on Feb 25th.

Have a good day all!

Good Morning. Glad to see more posts this morning!

Krista - I'm sorry to hear about your friend. What a sad and sudden thing. I have a distant cousin whose wife died suddenly the same way back in December. I had never heard of this happening before then. You and their family will be in my prayers today.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GLENN.

Bonnie - glad to see you are back. Hope the approaching storm does not mess up your plans for the weekend. SO, "I have been working on a little project here and it is finally coming together." Is it the ceiling or the mirrors?

Krista - I fell asleep 1/2 way through The Mole. My guess was wrong too. Thanks for filling me in.

Everyone have a great day! It's off to work I go!!!

Later!

Krista, what devastating news. I am so sorry. I have never heard of anything like it. The sudden deaths are always so hard.

I, too, was wrong. I thought that the Mole was Eric. But my track record with the Mole is the same. I have never been right.

Survivor tonight. Anyone else?

Happy Birthday, Glenn! Bonnie the lurker, doesn't sound good to me!

Oh shoot, Susan. This is the Myrtle Beach weekend. Forgot to make my plans so I guess I can't meet you. Have a BLAST and think of me. Got your email, also. Thanks!

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone! Been pretty busy for the last several days but have been trying to keep up my reading...

Krista, I'm sad to hear about your friend....what a shock to her poor family.

My son decided his mother needed an adrenaline rush Tuesday night so he rolled his car...... he is fine, and walked away with cuts and scrapes. We are so very, very lucky. The officer said he was amazed that Kenny got out of it without being hurt. I have a very hard time making him wear his seatbelt (he's indestuctable you know) but, Thanks to God and his ever present Guardian Angel, he was wearing it that night. He said when he unfastened it, he just fell out of his seat so I know it saved him. His car is terminal but its only sheet metal.......

Jaymee and Missy stayed at my house last night on their way to visit a college campus in Texas. We had a very nice visit and they were off bright and early this morning. Poor Jaymee gets so sick in the car that she has to drug herself up so she sleeps most of the time. Missy said that's good because when she wakes up she complains about the music! They were fun......Missy said she only got lost twice....once in Colorado Springs (where she lives!) and once in Hobbs......too funny.

Julie, I would love to have a Pampered Chef book.....love that stuff and I have to buy duplicates of the items that my girls seem to "borrow" a lot!

Mom is getting into clip art now....almost as bad as Julie! I keep telling her to take it to the board but she says its not Disney......she is getting out of control though.....

Have a good day everyone!

Good Morning Everyone!!

Is it Friday yet? It is finally warming up here. My car is still
a filthy mess. I have been holding off taking it to the car wash
until all the snow is gone.

Krista- I am so sorry to hear about your friend. What a shock.

Sandy, Lori- When's lunch?? I'm ready!!
I'll bring Mom.

Patty's son Kenny rolled his car yesterday. Thank God he walked
away with just a few scratches and bruises. Patty is pretty shaken up though.

Happy Birthday Glen!!!

Hey Turner where did you go?? Only one post from you??

Hope everyone is feeling better!!!

Barb

Man, I feel like a lurker. I was on last night, then the boards took a 45 min break and I couldn't post. Just had to go to bed. SO. Here I am. First of all...
Krista, Oh my GOSH! To die from an ear infection. I know I'd be scratching my head at the pearly gates, at that one. _Actually, I'll have a whole lot of questions for when I get there.
So sorry for you Krista. That is so heavy. _Her poor family, we'll all send our prayers their way.
Patty(i), YIKES. Your son's guardian angels definately earned their pay this time. How's your heart holding up?
Sandy, I haven't switched from 7.0 yet either. Is Survivor really on tonight? I hardly watch TV but usually got e-mails from CBS about upcoming Survivor episodes and haven't goten any. I think the segregated teams will be so interesting. Leave it to Burrnett to come up with a new twist every time.
Barb and Sandy, I still have lunchtime on the 19th free. Let's pick a place at Park Meadows. Lets see, there's PF Changs or J. Alexander's .. if YOUR buying LOL, I thought I saw a new California Pizza Kitchen while driving along the back side of the mall the other day, don't know if it's open. I know there are a ton of quick-yet-jovial places aroung there. Throw out some more suggestions.
Bonnie, glad you are keeping us posted on Darren. He must be going nuts waiting with a deadline like this. Where is that storm expected??? Inside or out? Either way, Julie and Garry, you guys be good.
Happy Birthday Glenn!

Patty how did your post beat mine?? Yours was not there
when I posted.

Thanks for taking good care of the girls. I miss them already. What am I going to do next year when Jaymee is in Texas and then gets married. I will be a basket case. Guess I will have to plan another trip to Disney!! No wait I am already doing that!!! :D

Barb

Lori, Sandy- The 19 works for me. What time??

Hey Mom will the 19 work for you?

Must be those darn "COOKIES" again & to think I used to like cookies!
Jeanne, You can say THAT again! I am having the worst time with just two parents. And they are the LEADERS! Uuugggh. I wish I could just bail on having any contact with those leaders for the rest of my life. They ask me to do things for them then just treat me like dirt. Won't get back to me. I cleared 8 hours, noon to 8pm, to be available for people to do pick-ups and just those two couldn't even be bothered to call me and say they couldn't make it. The one most in charge never comes thru with what she says she'll do, is rude to people and breaks rules in front of the girls, and it's a catch 22. When girls drop out they become 'outsiders' in class. Out of 17, only 3 have quite, yet all are annoyed. One that quit ended up changing schools as everything went downhill for her from there. It's like those little click/gangs in junior high. You know. You don't dare object, or you become their next victim.
Oh well, I objected and am now such a mean bad person. My neighbor is keeping me informed of the interesting lies being told about me. The bad part is, that this will be taken out on Katie.
Whaa, I'm totally unloading on all of you! Like Sandy said, I couldn't post for a while and now I'm making up for those withdrawals I had to go thru LOL.
OK, I have to go pick-up MORE cookies for some late orders, then I have a class Valentine's party to throw. Yes, the evil witch will be there. This will be a good day to be over with, but actually, the kids are so great, I think I'll have fun despite her.
Whew, OK, I feel better now. Thanks for the therapy, just send the bill.
See ya!

I beat you Barb because it was there and I saw a sentence that made absolutely no sense so I edited it and I guess it went back to where it originally was.

The girls were fun, we really enjoyed them. Missy called me on her cell phone...."Aunt Patty, I'm lost" I told her she did good, that her mother ended up in Tucumcari one time trying to find Hobbs! :p

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GLENN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

party051.gif

We will have to celebrate when Garry and I get to Bonnie's this weekend!:teeth:

Hey Bonnie, what's the big surprise? I told you you didn't have to throw a party for Garry and me this weekend:rolleyes: !

Patty, glad to hear your son is ok. That must have been a horrible time! I will send you out a catalog tomorrow. Just let me know if you need anything.

Lori, Hang in there! I wish I lived closer cause I'd help you out with the leaders. We "witches" could put them in their places in no time!

Sandy, I will be watching survivor tonight too! We will have to chat later after the show to see who we like etc... I too was wrong on the mole. I thought it was Eric too! Garry (of course) got the mole right and he didn't even watch it! He saw the last two shows and the first one. Hesaid right from the start that Frederica (sp) was the mole.

Susan, have an awesome time this weekend!!!!!!!! Think of me when you are walking along the beach! You are going to Myrtle Beach right? We up here are supposed to get MORE snow! BUT I CAN STILL DRIVE IN IT BONNIE!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Laurie, where are you? We haven't chatted for a long time!
I miss chatting with you!

YES, I am going to Myrtle Beach this weekend and they are calling for lots of rain and high winds. Even if I can't walk on the beach, I will at least be able to see it while attempting my first scrapbook pages!!! Give Bonnie a hug from The Schrolls when you get to New Jersey!!LOL

I'll be watching Survivor, too!! Hope there are some decent people on the show this time! They've been slipping the past couple of shows. Just my opinion.

Patty - I am so glad your son is not too banged up!! I hope he got a clear message from his guardian angel!! Life is so precious and can end so suddenly!

Turner is working on homework and then his valentines. Maybe he'll have a minute or two to post afterward.

Later!

Hi guys, just an update here... (calling my therapist here...) The room party went GREAT. Even "that" woman's daughter came up to me and said that this was the best room party they've had, EVER. (Her Mom was Room Parent last year) Ahh, it's halfway over. Now I drive a load of the girls to the Museum for a "Sky Search" badge activity with my friend Lisa. Guess who, at the last minute announced that she's coming along? Yep. Did the fact that just 2 adults are aloud in, deter her? No. Did the fact that the reservations had to be made 5 weeks ago and it's full, matter? Apparently not. She said she'll arrive and is sure that handling "them" won't be a problem for her. Ah. I'll be home by 9:30 and look forward to a 12 hour nice relaxing visit to work tomorrow.
Hey, it's a living.
My super wonderful husband is playing cookie Dad tomorrow and running two booth sales at a hardware store. I've got everything loaded and ready to go. The girls will hit up the guys with the line... "Did you remember to buy your sweetheart cookies today???"
Three cheers for Ben!
See ya, Lori

It looks like are computer problems are becoming contagious.

Krista: So sorry about your friend.

Patty: Every gray hair I have is from one of my children. Ask Joyce about her daughter's accident one of these days & your son will know how lucky he was.

Sandy: I love your postings! They always make me smile!

I am still not feeling 100% I always feel like I am on the verge of being sick (literally) but it's got to get better. I did manage to go out to a Valentine's Day dinner with my son at "Tuscan Tavern" & tomorrow my daughter is taking me to "Los Amigos". A way to a girl's heart is through HER STOMACH.

Have a great night! Tonight is my CSI night. Toodles:wave: :earsgirl: JEANNE

I appreciate all of the thoughts and prayers,as do Cecilia's family even though they are not obviously aware of it. As a devout catholic, I know Cece would appreciate it as well.

Survivor was interesting enough tonight. I guessed one of the younger guys would be voted out. I like the deaf girl and the take charge gal. I also like both of the older guys even though they are bossy and the younger guy that likes the older guys. Pretty descriptive huh????

Happy Birthday Glenn and have a fabulous weekend. Oh, you too Bonnie.

Happy Early Valentine's Day to all. It is my favorite day of the year.

Krista

Project complete!!! YEA!!!! Now...SLEEP!

I plan on having a wonderful belated Valentine's Day! The best ever! Anyway I hope you all do the same...

Hey Julie & Garry...you going to trudge here in the snow? Hmmm maybe the snow will be a blessing after all! LOL!

Still cannot get on AIM...very upsetting.

I can't believe Darren has not kept us up to date. Shame on you Darren...

Diana where are you??? Laurie? Lurking again are we?

I will introduce Glenn to you all this weekend...we may have plenty of time being snowbound! Hey Jeanne-can I borrow the 4WD for Saturday? LOL!

Lori, are you having trouble with your internet? Sometimes I can get to a website including this one and sometimes I can't. You said that you couldn't post for 45 minutes. I tell you, this is killing me. Ben is such a good guy! A cookie one at that! While he is at the hardware store he can pick up some duct tape.

Patty, glad that your son survived the roll. I am sure that he will now be wearing his seatbelt!

Sally, I got your catalog and gave it to my daughter. She was so excited. Do you want me to contact you if she orders?

Survivor-I feel sorry for the deaf girl. She is always being forgotten and left out. I don't like Heidi. The old lady should have realized that it wasn't a picnic so I didn't feel sorry for her. The old men are fine. Roger is bossy but someone has to take charge. I don't like the way they think women are a piece of meat.

Get to feeling better Jeanne. Don't like it when you are sick!:(

Lunch is still okay with me. I really am not familiar with the restaurants in the area so I have to depend on the birthday girl to choose. I was thinking about the Cheesecake Factory though. One opened IN Park Meadows. Ever been there? I think 11:00 is perfect. I like to beat the crowds, too.

I paid for our down payment today on the trip. It felt so good. Now I can look forward to something again. That is always so much fun.

Good night everyone. Happy Valentines Day to all!
