I think we are in for the Eastern. Not saying for sure, but loved the days at sea and the carribean ports of call. Done cozumel, cayman and key west already. Just our two cents.

Sally, I'm gonna be doing my first attempt at scrapbooking this weekend. Wish me luck. I'm going to start with the cruise since it is still the most recent highlight of my life!

We need to hear an update from Darren. I hope all his plans are falling into place without too many problems.

I just finished reading through what I missed. Jerry and I had a great time on Saturday. We saw Catch me if you can and then went to the Olive Garden for dinner. We even ordered a bottle of wine. It was so nice to be out by ourselves. It felt normal and at the same time we felt like we were sneaking around.

Julie: How was the Big Guy's birthday party. I hope you were al well for it.

Krista: It sounds like you had a fun skiing trip.

Darren: Keep us posted!

Guess what? It snowed again today and we didn't have any heat. Our furnace quit working last night at 9 PM and it didn't get fixed until 12:30 PM. Thank goodness for the fireplace. We needed a new ignitor (or however you spell it).

Kaleigh's baptism is on Sunday. Now, if I can just get the house fairly clean and remember to pick up the cake and party tray.

Lori: Have fun with the cookies! I love the mint one's.

I'm not a MIA, just a busy day. Ted took off and we did a lot of errands. Got home around 5:00 tonight. I am tired!!

We're in for another wine party-chat night-or whatever you want to call it. When? AND-what do you mean, Susan, look out for Sandy. I am the only sane one!!!!! Just remember, each and every time we have to sign a pact.

Denine, it sounds like you had a nice time.

Lori, sorry you are sick! Sorting all those cookies when you don't feel well can't be good. We got our cookies tonight. Thanks for your advise. They are really looking forward to snorkeling.

I have asked DU to book us for October 23, 2004. It is the Western. When and if you all book the eastern, we will then think about changing it. I hope it all works out. If we can't get our room that we want, we might go ahead and book the 16th I believe it is.

Gotta go. Big night of TV for me. I love 7th Heaven, Everwood, Joe Millionnaire, Fear Factor. We'll see what I can get in.

This is what I get for saying I am NEVER sick. I went to work Monday & by 9:00 AM I just knew I was going to be sick (literally) and, of course, I have the kind of job you can't just leave but thank God I only had six patients, two were going home (discharges were done) & the four others Nursing Students had until noon. I just went to my Nurse Manager & said I had to leave & gave a quick report to the other two nurses. I was sick until about 9:00 this morning. All I can say is if this is what they had on the cruise ships I don't know how they survived!!!!!!!!
I am feeling MUCH better today but called out of work. I think it was my first time in a year.

I am now going to go back & catch up on my reading!

I am all for a Myrtle Beach Reunion. I could talk the two other Dudettes either into flying or driving to a reunion down there! I like that idea! Maybe a little "Spring Fling"?

I also like the idea of a Western Cruise but am willing to go with the majority. I am pretty easy to get along with - just tell me where & when & I'm there!

Yep, that's me!!! Sometimes I turn into a live voice. Okay, I love talking to all of you and hearing REAL voices just not reading. I probably can't do it Feb 22 but that is okay. Just enjoy without me. I can do it on Feb 21 or March 7th. Feb 22 is Ted's dad's birthday and if he isn't busy we will have him down for dinner. Or if that doesn't work out, I am planning to have my brother and his family over for what we call "game night". Don't hold back on our account.

Cathy at DU confirmed today that we got room 5520 (secret porthole room) for October 23, 2004. I am sooooo excited. It is the 3rd time in that room. I think that we will stick with the Western. I have been telling everyone of our dilemma with Eastern VS Western and have been told by so many people that they love the Grand Cayman and Cozumel. My friend also went to Jamaica on that trip but didn't like it. I understand if you all plan without me. My loss! But, if you do plan on the same time, I will be thrilled. I just couldn't hold out any longer. Cathy encouraged me to hurry as the Secret Porthole Rooms fill up FAST! Hope everyone understands. I feel funny about this decision.

Missed you guys the last few days! Been busy with Garry's birthday party with my parents and then I had a meeting to go to yesterday evening, so I have been lurking the last few days.

Jeanne, The Big Guy and I had that same thing last week. It was nasty!!!!!!!!! I can't imagine how you managed at work for as long as you did. For me the nasty part was over in 24 hrs, but I still felt like someone hit me with a truck for 2 days after. The Big Guy was feeling great after the 24hrs. When does yor son start with his station on patrol? How long will he be with another officer until he gets out on his own? Garry was a FTO back when he was a patrol officer. His stories from back then are gems!

Speaking of the Big Guy he had his 2yr check up today and he is 37 1/2 inches tall and 30 lbs and 2 oz. Nurse said that the average height of a 3 year old is 36 inches and he is only 2!! She said he is off the chart for height for his age and he is solid with big feet! (he is wearing 8 1/2 shoes). He only got 1 shot today (his MMR) so that wasn't too bad. The Big Guy is heathy as he can be! Which is always good to hear where you're a mommy!

We are planning on joining Ted & Sandy on the Western - Oct 23rd. I am just waiting for our tax refund and then I am going to book it!! We would love to have more people join us!!

Bonnie -- Just think Kristen will be 11 then, and Ted & Sandy won't be bringing anyone........ it might be a good option for you .....just one child.....just a couple of hours when we go to Palo's for the first time........

Finally we got some snow here!! Last night at 5:00 p.m. they started off the local news by saying that we were due for some white stuff, so Kristen & I decided to head off to the store to get her valentines for school. At that point there was NOTHING coming down 30 min later when we got home there was 4 INCHES on the ground, no salt trucks were out, and I was all over the road!! It was quite a sight!! But, it sure looks pretty out there this morning!

Julie described the illness pretty accurately - knocked off your feet for 24 hrs. (or on your feet back & forth to the bathroom) & then another two days to regain your strength. I keep all this prepare for an emergency & felt obligated to get my plastic, duct tape, radio, water, etc. today. I went to Walmart & felt exhausted by the time I got home but we are now PREPARED.

My son Ted graduates (hopefully) from the Police Academy on July 3rd & I think he is with an experienced officer for some time. He looks so handsome in his uniform. Since he was hired by our township they paid for all his sweats, boots, uniforms, etc.

I have the hardest time getting to the last posting. Must be those darn "COOKIES" again & to think I used to like cookies!

WHAT A DAY!!! I worked late tonight. I was hoping this week was going to be better than last week. Oh well.

Jeanne (and Julie) - glad you guys are getting your health back. I DO NOT want that bug!! It is going around here too.l Lots of people at work have had it. Lots of kids have missed school. Turner had it but Paul and I were lucky (so far)!

Bonnie - I'm ready for your computer to be fixed and for you to be back posting. You have a big weekend coming up but we still want to hear from you!!

Wow, I couldn't get on all day! Is there anyone out there still using AOL 7.0 or have you aol users changed to 8.0? I heard that everyone hates 8.0 so we haven't switched yet. I was wondering if that is the problem. It seems quite strange that it would be our computer because for two nights in a row I can get on at night and just not during the day. Anyone have any ideas???

I am so excited that you are joining Ted and I, Laurie, on the October 23, 2004 sailing. I hope that you get the room you want. I feel the same as Laurie....we would love if more of you would join us. Hey, instead of a wine tasting party, we could have a bushwacker party. Right, Bonnie and Jeanne? Didn't you have two, also, Jeanne? I think that will be the drink of the evening for Ted and I on Valentines Day.

Jeanne, Ted said that he hasn't forgotten to send you the cookie cleaning steps. Hate for you to take it out on all cookies especially during Girl Scout season. Go, somoas! They are the best! Your Ted certainly is making you proud. How wonderful. What is all the talk about duct tape. I missed the news and I think I missed something major because Regis and Kelly were talking about duct tape but did not elaborate. Must have something to do with sealing a home in case of an attack.

Susan, will it ever improve for you at work? You poor thing have been fighting work for so long now. First you were sick and now this. Guess we need another wine party.

Laurie, I so enjoyed talking to you last night. It was though we have been friends for many years!!

I must have missed something too. What is the duct tape all about? Jeanne needs to fill us in (or somebody else does). I cancelled the subscription to the newspaper since I never seemed to read it. I go get one on Sunday because I have to have my sales circulars and coupons.

Jeanne: Sorry to hear you were ill. I am glad you are feeling better.

We had the social worker visit today. She brought 3 Pooh bears and 1 Pooh toy from Kaleigh's foster mom. She must have been cleaning stuff and knew that we really love Pohh bear in this house. Kaleigh always smile when she sees him. I will be glad when the adoption is final and we don't have anymore visits. We had to sign a bunch of papers to petition the court for the adoption of Kaleigh. We are hoping for an early May court date.

I thought the house was going to cave in last night. They said the gusts could get up to 50mph. I don't know if they did or not, but it sure seemed like it. At least we didn't get much snow from it. But, I still had to shovel.

I had a meeting at work today and the other nurses were excited to see Kaleigh. I got to take her with me and get paid for 1-1/2 hours. Not a bad deal.

Valentine's Day is on Friday and I am making a special dinner like I usually do. I can't wait to see kaleigh in her Christening gown. Our friends are bringing their digital camera so I will have pictures to send. I am also going to have her pictures taken in her gown. I just didn't want to do it before Sunday since it is dryclean only.

I forgot. It doens't matter to us which cruise we go on. If we do the 16th we will go to Disney after the crusie. If we do the 23rd, we will go to Disney before the cruise.
