We just decided on Comfort Suites too! Took a little convincing for DH, but I think we are going to enjoy it!

Will the DIS meets be posted somewhere on the ship? Or can someone post all the meets/parties/get together's etc on one post.

I've read thru several pages and sometimes with everyone posting it makes it difficult to figure out what the decision was?

Is there an easy way to do this?

I just checked a navigator from 12/18/05 and sunset was at 5:41.

I just looked this up and the Sunset on Jan 29th at Key West is 6:10pm....should be perfect

We have found that the best time to meet is USUALLY after the safety drill and before the sailaway party!. If that is what someone else suggested then I missed it sorry. If that works for most of us then we should plan on that!

We are planning a DIS Cruise Meet on Saturday Deck 10 Midship Port side at 3:00. Should be fun to get some faces to go along with the DIS names.

We are also planning a Bday celebration for a day at sea . We have a BUNCH of cruisers celebrating. Any of your group have a bday?

Sorry, as a newbie I don't always understand stuff! Why are you booking hotel rooms at the Atlantis? So you don't have to go back and forth to the ship? Is it far?

We are booking rooms at Comfort Suites so that we can use all the amenities at Atlantis. They have a thing at Comfort Suites that gives you wristbands and use of Atlantis for alot less. And you can cancel Comfort Suites, can't cancel Atlantis if there is a reason you can't go. When we were at Nassau before, we did the Disney Atlantis Beach Day. It was a nice time, but the kids really wanted to go in the many pools and use the slides, and that is only for guests.

So, for just a little more than the Disney excursion would cost us, we have basically the same thing, but this time have the use of all the stuff at Atlantis. And a room if we want to use one. From what I can tell, it is a quick cab ride from the port to Comfort Suites. The catch is they only allow 4 in the room, works out fine for us, but if you have a larger group, might not be as cost effective.

I've been lurking for almost a year now - and finally (with 13 days to go) decided to register with the DIS boards. Funny thing is I feel like I know you all!! Thanks for all the advice and fun on these boards.

I am on the Magic 1/28 too with DH, DS4 and DS3 AND first time on DCL. Cruises on many others but never thought we could afford DCL - we were wrong!!

Any advice on little ones in the clubs? My DS will be fine, DD may have trouble.

Anyway, THANKS again for keeping up the SPIRIT for the past year!!

Everyone, PLEASE come celebrate with the bday DISers! I hope that everyone that wants to come knows they are welcome. Sue, what a great idea!! Having an "Unbirthday Party" too...sounds very Disney-esque!! (actually the whole thing is really just an excuse to get together again...and eat )

According to the DCL Rep, we can go to the restaurant, tell them that we are a group celebrating bdays and they will accommodate us . We just tell the server how many cakes we want, and they provide. There aren't any reservations required.

So, Monday lunch at Lumiere's seems to work, that OK with everyone? 1130? 1200? Character Breakfast people might not be so hungry, but there's always room for on a cruise right?

Wow! It is a small world. We are not members of the yacht club but visit there frequently for different events. Love sailing - you have to to live here, but don't have a boat yet...maybe when the kids are older!
