Roll Call for the Disney Magic Western Carrib. Jan 28/2006

This is probably a silly question, but has anyone made a list of everyone on our cruise, names, ages, cabins, etc?

There probably is one somewhere on this thread, but I hardly seem to get a chance to read the boards this year!

Lord, I need this vacation!!

I haven't given detail about our party, but here's our ages and b-day information.

There are 6 adults and 3 children in our party, we are cruising in honor of my mom's 60th b-day, but her b-day isn't actually taking place while we're on the cruise, does that still count? ;)

Our family consists of:

Me and DH
My sister and BIL
My mom (aka the B-day Girl!) and stepfather
Niece - 9 years old, 3rd grade
Nephew - 5 years old, kindergarten
DD - 9 months old

That's our group, I hope we can meet you all onboard for our get together on Saturday!

I'm still up in the air for Wednesday and Thursday nights, DVC is closed for the holiday today :guilty: I will be making ressies at the Radison for Friday night. Is anyone getting up early to see the Magic dock? Anyone know what time it sails past the Cocoa Beach Pier? DH and I might make the effort. I would love to see it :hyper: DS's will be :faint: :faint:

Deb - We are at the Ron Jon Resort and I understand it is close to the jetty the Magic will pass. Other posters say Magic goes by @ 4-4:30 am !!!!!!!! Want to meet at the jetty?

I will be glad to put together a list of fellow cruisers. Pm the info to me and I will bring copies to hand out at the 3pm meet. I will also remind everyone on the flyer to come to our bday/unbday at Lumieres on Mon at 12:05.

Sue

:cool1: DOCS IN HAND !!!!! :cool1:

I went to Home Depot today and "borrowed" a bunch of Lime Green Mickey Heads from their paint sample dept. So i will bring them and hand them out for people to put on their doors once on the ship if anyone is interested..

I was going to offer, also, if it wasn't done...so if you want any help, Sue, just tell me.

"Borrowing" lime green Mickey Heads! I can just see you walking out, trying to be nonchalant! :cool1: And if someone asks...how do you explain? :rotfl:

This is going to be a good group, I'm thinking!

Want to know something even funnier..???... as I was walking out of the store with a handful of Lime green Mickey Heads.. a man behind me set off the alarm because he got to close to the door censor... :rotfl: I just kinda looked behind me quickly, saw it was him, and walked rapidly to my car.. :rotfl2:

I've got my Lime Mickey heads too ::MickeyMo
I really wanted to order some of those wristbands with you all...but was worried they wouldn't get up here to the frozen north before we leave. :sad1:
Oh well!

Jenn

I just thought of a question...

What time do you all head to the Port Saturday? Is it better to be early or does it matter? I think it doesn't open until 10:30 and I'm so excited I've told my family we're going be the first ones through the door! :hyper:
But will that be a bad decision in the end?
I have many things to do quickly once onboard (I missed out on Palo reservations!!! ) and want to get on as soon as possible.

What are your thoughts oh seasoned cruisers out there?? :worship:

Thanks!
Jenn

Morning Jenn - When are you coming down? I haven't much info on port arrival since I usually fly and use DCL transportation. Since we are driving in the night b4 I plan on getting to the port between 10:30 and 11. I have read on the boards there usually are spots in Palo without rushing.

I'm flying in Thursday Jan 26th so i have plenty of time :) We're going to Universal for Friday (gotta go on the MIB ride a few times to start our trip off ::yes:: ) and staying in Orlando until Saturday morning. We'll be driving in and thus can gauge our time whichever way we please. I'm thinking McDonald's drive through and get on the road early!! :scratchin But will we be bored at the Port for a couple of hours before we can board?? They've changed the way things work now too with 'numbers' being distributed...have any details?

about palo ressies...DCL rep told me on the phone not to get my hopes up as there's not many spots available.

Thanks!
Jenn

Well, thanks to :worship: DVC we have a place to stay Wednesday and Thursday...Whew, I can relax again...

Now DH and the boys want to go to Universal Thursday. So, here I go to Borders to get Universal/IOA book, and start reading Universal DIS board...I really am going to need a vacation from this vacation :rotfl:

Jenn, you might get lucky. :wizard:

As for hanging around the terminal, there isn't a whole lot to do, but the characters do come out and you can get some pics. There is a HUGE model of the ship, and one side is cut away, really cool.

I suspected there wouldn't be much to do. But I can always enjoy another photo op! But from the sounds of things you'll be there early! At least I'll have someone new to chat with for a few minutes! :hyper2:

My kids will probably zone out on their Nintendo DS systems and not notice the wait (my fingers are crossed on that one).

Tomorrow marks 7 days until we leave for Florida! YAH!! :jumping2:

Jenn

Morning All - We will be easy to spot at the terminal. My sister and I will be wearing striped shirts and Mom is in a blue wheel chair. Sue

I did not take these pictures, but I love them. :cool1:  :cool1:  :cool1:  :cool1:

Oh thank you for those!!

:cold: We're in the middle of a blizzard up here in the frozen north! Yesterday was a terrible ice storm and today everything is beautifully laced with snow...but...I'd rather be elsewhere!

Jenn

We are leaving on Sunday and I am really getting whipped up to a frenzy :cool1: The wife and I are in serious need of Fun In The Sun!
