Roll call for 10/29/09 3 night Bahamian - General chit chat

We are Cat 12 GTY too - I am checking every single day to see if we have our assignments, even though I know it's unlikely this early. I heard it's normally around 30 days before that staterooms are assigned, is that right?

Yeah, I've always gotten mine at the 30 day mark - exactly. I've been watching the Cat 12 assignment thread though and I've seen some people assigned at the 36 day mark and also the 10/31 Magic cat 12's have been assigned already. :confused3

Good evening all.
We haven't done this cruise yet and we have booked another.
We are doing the First Alaskan cruise in 2011.:cool1:

Did anyone else try booking one of the new cruises today?

ok i just checked the website and can NOT book alaska !!!! BOOOOO how did you get it what cat did you book and how much PP im DYING to know... want to know if it will be affordabe for DH and I..... I herd inside cat 12 was starting at 1095 or something outrageous ! i love Disney but if i had to pay triple the price as a regular ship for a balcony room i would be broke forever .... we paid 3200 for our balcony on the 7 night on princess and we got a balcony that was a cat just below suite .... so it had a bigger deck for Denver .... i can only imagine Disney i bet its like 7000 for 2 people on a balcony ..... want to do alaska though if not on disney i think we will fly there and drive all over

just catching up too ... can someone send me the cat 12 link also when you make ressies with disney why dont the give you the option for cat 12 is it that they only release them a few at a time? i want to book a cat 12 for next halloween on a 4 night but none r avail .... also EVERYONE let me and wilma know your stateroom assignments when you get them so i can start working on the FE deck plan maps and wilma you can post to the list. .... what if people get upgraded at the port? then what ? last year i think it happened to a few people they just told us at the meet and greet but if they dont come how will we know ? I suppose when they deliver to our FEs they could pop in a note with their new room assgnmt ? anyone have any past experience with this i know there HAS to be a better way
ok all you cat 12 peeps .... if you do indeed get a cat 12 and dont get bumped i find for 2-3 people the single bathroom is fine i actually liked it better than the double ... for me i kept going in the wrong bathroom and tripping in the thresholds .... this time i got a HA room so i wont trip last year i hit my head pretty hard and almost knocked myself out bec of the threshold in the bathroom - it was NOT blind friendly LOL:rotfl::rotfl: anyway we got bumped mid cruise last year so i got to experience both a cat 12 and 11 bathroom .... the cat 11 nav verandah actually seemed to have less room than a 12 to me .... 12 had more OPEN room vs trying to shuffle around the beds but then again we had our beds seperate so it might have had something to do with it .... it was just too small for me to navigate - so if you indeed stay at a cat 12 DONT BE SAD you will have more room in my opinion oh Denver says in his too LOL
we loved Deck 2 and if i could navigate to the litter box without issue I would have booked deck 2 this trip ... it was easy on port days and very quiet where we were .... so anyways no more rambeling for me .... just sooooo excited we will be crusing and in orlando in less than 6 weeks WOOooooooooooooooooooooooo

I am thrilled to see that we are beginning to ramble - that means we are getting CLOSE! I booked our room at the Radison yesterday and we are on the 10 am shuttle to the port! My TA (who ROCKS BTW:cool1:) said that we will get some information in the mail from Disney about special plans for Halloween. She said it sould come with our docs! We are looking forward to 2011 cruises - but we want the Dream! As nice as Alaska sounds, its a bit too much travel for the kidos 8 & 5! Hope you all have a great week! TT

Cari, first off, we called. You could not do the cruise online yet. Next monday.
Secondly, we were able to book this week because we were Platinum Castaway Club.
I think I read where the cruise was $939 pp in cat 12.
We are in Cat 9 on Deck 2. Don't know how much it was. Lee booked it.

WOooooooooo My Eeyore is in the middle YIPPE !!!! He is MOVING !!!!!!!!!
Now .... move faster eeyore LOL:cheer2:

Broke down and booked a 2011 Western today. I booked an 11C GTY (Cat 12). I plan to cancel and re-book once we are onboard to get the onboard credit. I was afraid that category would be gone before we get on the ship next month! I wonder if they will give the 10% too with the new categories?

I am getting really exicited! But when will I get a cabin assignment. Urghhhh
Just thought I would share with people who would get it.

I'm looking every day, too. The Magic has assigned the cat. 12's for the 11/7/09 sailing already. :rolleyes1

We should be assigned by Tuesday. (30 day mark) ;)

A few people on our 10/25 cruise got their cabin #'s today, so you should be getting yours any day now. (BTW...is your family's last name Smith?)

For the folks waiting on their cabin assignments, how did you make reservations and not get assigned a cabin when the reservation was made?

By the way our last name is King.

In our case, it is because we booked Cat 12 and the Cat 12s are always GTY and never pre-assigned.

We are almost at the 30 day mark and when we hit 2 weeks we can start the  countdown !!!! our last cruise we counted  as a day so for 2 weeks we would post 14  then as the days passed the  got less and less ... it was fun to see everyone postin their  every day !

Got my passport in the mail last week and I CANT WAIT NOW !!! It is like I have a passport and I just wanna CRUISE !!!!!! Im already looking into booking another one . Anyone know if they have good deals in Jan Feb or Mar even April? last year i know they did the bounce backs thats COOL maybe again this year if we r lucky???? anyways rambeling now !!!!!

Hi all, I booked the PC cruise this morning now all I have to do is convince my husband that $6,000 really isn't that much for a 2 week cruise.:rotfl2: we'll see how he takes the news. Did anyone else book for this cruise or any other ones today?

Well, for 2 people over 15 nights, that's $200 per person per night. That's gonna get you an equivalent of a very nice hotel room somewhere - but your cruise will also include food, beverages, activities, ports of call, AND a trip through the PC! The price of the hotel would only offer one 'port of call' - everything else would be an additional cost. I would definately say that the PC repo sounds like it doesn't cost any more than a trip anywhere else... but with a really awesome itinerary!

I wish I had 15 days of vacation to take! Your trip is going to be great!
