Ok, today I finally started work on our magnets.

Yeah. FE talk. Can I summarize? Can I resist?

1. Hang FEs on Thursday. Do we need to set a time to have them out by? The first day is so busy, do we want to? What does everyone think?

2. FEs will have to be packed by 10PM on Saturday, so a delivery cutoff time is recommended. Suggestions?

3. FE gifts can be a single item for a cabin OR for each individual in the cabin. Is everyone good with this?

4. FE gifts can be given every day OR once per cruise. Is everyone good with this?

5. FE gifts could be items such as inexpensive small trinkets, homemade items, or candy.

6. FE participants are separated into 2 groups of cabins, A & B. Those in group A give gifts to others in group A, and same for group B.

7. We estimate 9 to 12 cabins participating in each group. Each participant should get FE gifts for up to 11 other cabins in their FE group.

8. The cutoff date to sign up for the FE is August 15th. Cari is tracking the participant list & deck map.

here are my thoughts everyone else please chime in with yours

? 1. - yes lets set a time how about by sail time that way there is time after dinner if people want to deliver stuff ( I myself am a LATE night delivery person like 11 pm ) I would REALLY like to do FE stuff the first day since it is such a short cruise but im game for the group decision .

? 2 how about 930 PM all Final FE gifts to be delivered

?4. -I myself would rather do the FE gifts every day Thu Fri and Sat if someone in my group does not want to participate all three days PLEASE let me know so i can only buy for you once not 3 times .....

Thats it for my 10 cents everyone keep the thoughts rolling in we r an awsome group !!!! Also formal night was pirate night on my last Halloween cruise we didnt dress up too dressy though again bec it was a 3 night cruise ... i just wore a skirt and nice top nothing fancy and not everyone that we dined in the dining room with dressed up most were in casual attire and I am thinking I might just do casual this time since the only pics that will be taken will be of Denver

My thoughts on the daily thing is that whilst I don't mind getting 3 individual items in respect of each day, I don't want to spend time going all over the ship to deliver things 3 times, I'd rather leave all 3 items on the first day.

Now I know this might take the fun out of a new surprise being there every day, but this is our first ever cruise, and I really want to make the most of every second we have, especially with it being over such a short period.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm guessing it could take up to half an hour depending on where everyone's staterooms are? However, f everyone would rather do it daily, I'm quite an early riser, so I could always get up before breakfast each day and nip around and do them all then. I don't want to be a party pooper (or become known as That Lazy British Girl!), so I'm happy to make the effort to do it daily if that's what everyone agrees, just wanted to throw my opinion out there!

I am also good with all the things on our FE list. I will do all three days, that sounds like more fun finding thingies in our bag every day. Has anyone had any problems with people taking stuff from your FE? or taking the whole FE?

How sad are those that steal from others on a vacation?

You can ziptie your FE to the fish hook and then just cut the ziptie off at the end of the trip. That should deter most.

It shouldn't make any difference when things are delivered to the FEs. If some participants want to deliver all their gifts all in one day, then why not? If some participants only want to give one day gift, why not? It's vacation, so as the little meerkat said, 'Hakuna Matata'.

My biggest challenge is going to be to quit shopping for FE gifts. If anyone needs a personal shopper, let me know.

Meryll- Here is what I would do ... I would ask the people in your group what they want to do bec i dont think anyone will care if u deliver all three 1 time .... but again i would check with your group.

Oh yes how sad it is but people do steal the FEs . I always bring a zip tie and secure it that way .

ok sdchickey dont laugh ..... Denver has a tux collar thingey and he DOES wear it in formal night .... I also have one that was made for him thats a tux collar with a mickey mouse tie !!!! yup im a nut case LOL does anyone know how to post pics on here ???? I will post them if i can figure it out !

Happy Father's Day everybody!
I tried calling my dad, but couldn't get to him, it is one of the bad things of having an international family, he is visiting my mom and brother for the holiday down at Mexico so there is no telling when he'll be home. If he only stayed put in Washington waiting by the phone it'd make things easier

Work had me sooo stressed last week, I am so happy this cruise is getting closer. The Savannah trip is sure getting closer, we even have ressies for wonderful restaurants, plus some friends of ours want to go that new dessert party event at MK they are having for the summer. It is rather affordable, so we will go as a group Sat July 11 and we will stay at their house to save some money.

I love having friends so close to WDW! I am thinking we will take loads of lovely photos that night, can't wait!

I am starting to train seriously for my Expedition Everest 5K, I need to have a better time stamp this year

Hi all - I have been MIA from this forum for a long time but my family (Me, DH, DD14 DS 11) has also been booked on this cruise since June 2008. We would love to participate in fish extended stuff.... can someone send me the details of your plans.

I am also traveling with a friend of mine and her family (DF, Her DH and DS 11) and I will see if she wants to participate also.

I am really excited to be on the ship for halloween. This will be our 9th DCL cruise and we still really love it.

My trip to Savannah is nearly here, I can almost taste it! I am soooo stoked! Also we booked the Wishes desert party for July 11 along with a friend of mine and her family, we are all so happy we get to do this, looks wonderful!
The day after the DVC is having a presentation for passholders at Bay Tower, so we signed up for that as well, can't wait to see what it looks like.

I am off to train for the Expedition Everest 5K. I think I will do the Castaway 5K this time, last time on the Magic it was my first time on the island so I skipped it to explore the place from top to bottom. Anybody else doing this?

winnyis-welcome we will add you to the FE list along with dopey and if your friends want to join then we will add them . We r splitting the groups into A and B and im thinking we will just make a list of those being added and then on the cut off date we will add your group to either A or B dependng on how many others are joining then we can break the remaining groups up and add them to A and B does this make sense?
We r delivering items on Thursday fri and sat nothing past i think 9 pm on saturday since sunday we r getting off the ship . If you want to get started buying i would count on buying for 10 cabins to 12 cabins that way youll be covered if others join late
let me know if you have any other ?s and also refer to post #1 wilmabride does a great job adding stuff there and posting groups etc .
Gifts are to be small items from the dollar store and can be anything you really choose to do ... you can buy for the entire cabin ( 1 thing ) or one thing per individual in each cabin ....

OK now im getting excited !!!! I went to the dollar store yesterday and got some stuff and then I also booked my transportation WOO HOO annnddd my hotel ! We r staying the night before at La Quinta inn in cocoa beach . Last year we stayed at Disney all star and we took a taxi to grand floridian then the disney bus which was great but since we r in california the time adjustment sucked ! we traveled the night we flew in at 12 midnight fl time thru the amazingly HUGE airport to the shuttle pick up then sat and waited for it to fill then left at about 130 am by the time we got to the hotel checked in it was 3 AM and we had to be up and out the next AM by 9 to catch a taxi to the grand floridian to leave for the trip . It was another 1 1/2 hrs to the port !!! GRRRRrrrr this time im thinking SLEEP IN lol . We r taking cocoa beach shuttle ( 70 dollars for 2 people from airport to cocoa beach ) and going to the la quinta inn ( 80 dollars including tax for a 2 queen room ) which im told is only about 1 hr drive ( which is way less than it took last year to get to the disney hotel ) and then in the AM we will take a shuttle at 1130 am to the port ( 4 dollars per person ) and be on by noon !!! WOO HOO ( we always board early bec of the dog and me needing to get the lay of the ship before we leave ) sooooo it is a done deal and im soooooooo excited now !!!! when we come back we r taking disney transportation and staying at all star movies and going to the parks .
What is everyone from the UK doing to adjust to the time change ???? how many hours is it ? and here im griping about 3 measley hours u guys r probbably like 10 or something outrageous !!!!1
