Roll call for 10/29/09 3 night Bahamian - General chit chat

OK, so here's a proposal. How about we close the FE sign-ups middle of August and, as Cari suggests, if anyone else wants to join in after that, we can decide then? Not sure how many last-minute takers there might be for this cruise and I would hate to think people might miss out but I wouldn't have a problem with getting a couple extra last-minute gifts for latecomers.

Personally, I'm a bit OCD when it comes to planning and I like to know I have got everything sorted well in advance.

So, all those in favour of a mid-August close of the FE list (suggest Friday 14th) say 'Aye' ;)
 

OK, so I have updated the info in the first post to reflect the closure of the FE list on August 15th. We can then decide if we want to split the cabins or not, depending on how many are signed up :thumbsup2

Okay, so do we have an idea about how many we want in a group before we split it? I'm just curious so I can plan. I'm already buying things and getting ready to start making things. I can always use the stuff I buy for future cruises, so I'm not worried about that, but just was seeing if anyone had any insight on what they are thinking. If I'm over thinking, some just tell me...just trying to plan.
 
WOW !!!! Wilma your soooo organized !!!! LOve it love it love it !!! ok so im looking at the FE list LOL more than i thought ! what if we split it up 9 and 9 right now( 2 groups ) and bank on buying things for 12 that way it enables 6 more people to join ( up to 3 in each group ) between now and august and gives us a good head start on buying a safe ammount . after that we can decide if last min people jump in ..... i say 12 is safe number and if we wind up with leftovers WELL theres always next cruise right ???
what do you all think?
 
I just got my planning kit in the mail today!!! Yeah :woohoo: I feel like I'm really going on the cruise now! Now all I gotta do is finish paying for it!

Cool...so does that mean we are going ahead and splitting it up 9 & 9 now(and add others as they come)? If so, that's cool...I can get working on my gifts. :woohoo: I can get some info from the people in my "group" and get started!!

FE gifts.
I am a bit confused about how we are doing them.
The suggestion was made about splitting up into groups.
So what is the price range we are talking about for the gifts?

On the cruises we have taken with the FE, the gifts are relatively inexpensive.
Ranging from trinkets to candy.
If we are doing more than that, that is fine. I just missed it.

To top it off I also received an e-mail with a PIN code for WDW stays right before the cruise, so I do believe we will be staying in WDW for a couple of days before the cruise. :banana:

That's what I am doing. Since my FE only has one pocket, I am not sure much else would fit in it anyway. :fish:

Is there a disboards thread with the FEE rules, or do the rules get made up as each FE group wants? :boat:
 
The planning kit is just a welcome kit you get that has info on excursiouns, vacation protection plan,gifts for your stateroom that you can pre-order and tips for your trip. I also got the 40% off rooms e-mail for my vacation time, but I'm an annual pass holder so I don't know if every cruiser gets an e-mail or not. As far as the FE I was planning on getting something for around $1 - $2 per cabin if we only have 9 cabins that we are exchanging with I might go a little higher. pirate: Can't wait till our Hallo-wonder cruise!

I agree keep it cheap and cheerful trunkets and candy r good... I too might go a little higher than 1$ if the groups stay at 9 and 9 unless everyone wants to just keep it at the 18 together ? i was only suggesting smaller groups because i personally didnt want to run back and forth to 20 different cabins LOL but im game if everyone wants to keep it together so lets vote
also i have a list of the groups and we can split it pretty even i think theres like i dont know 8 groups of 4 a group of 5 and a group of 6 and even groups of 2 and 3 .... so if everyone agrees maybe split it as even as we can by party number ???? im not trying to head this up Im just trying to get the ball rolling so we can start collecting :-) sooooooo please leave input here so we can all work as a team to get our FE plan launched !!!!
