28 more days until we're sailing with Mickey but who's counting? The kids are very excited as this cruise they will also being seeing their older sister who is away at college.

Well, I only know the Disney side of all of you, but I sense a compassion about all of you and I have a HUGE favor to ask of you. During the summer, I volunteer at a camp held locally for children who have cancer and their entire family - Camp Debbie Lou. It is one of only 2 in the nation that cares for the entire family - the other is run by Kirk Cameron. (This one is run by a large family that we are very good friends with) Ellie, one of our campers from this past summer has just found out that she is no longer in remission and her cancer has come back as a stage 4. She is only 7 and has a twin sister. Her mom and dad are meeting with the doctors to discuss and determine the best line of treatment for her. Childhood cancer is UGLY and not only reaks havok on the child, but the entire family. I feel fortuante to be a part of the wonderful camp that ministers and provides emotional healing for the whole family. Please pray for her and her entire family as they face very difficult days ahead!

we will pray . Cancer is one that hits home from me as I have SEVERAL friends who have lost their children all under the age of 7 in the past 3 years . Does Ellie have a carepage ? do they have CHOC in the uk it stands for childrens hospital orange county but they are all over ...... we will pray

My brother is a cancer survivor and is going on strong (now at nearly age 24)
He suffered very badly during his first years, he was diagnosed at age 2, so I know very well what kind of trying times this family is going through.

SWEET !!!!! My docs are set for the 6th too WOO HOO thanks for the tip !!!! Now im REALLY excited !!!! I cant WAIT till this cruise ..... does anyone have any suggestions for food on the ship ? We didnt get to do breakfast last time and we didnt eat much by the pool etc. i wanna try one of those wraps this time ...
also does anyone know whats happening to our ship while in dry dock ? refurbs???? im curious !

was at Beach Blanket Buffet. (Mind you, we didn't do Palo.) It was AMAZING. There were tender beef short ribs and moist cornbread rolls that I still remember vividly. I just looked at the menu, and it does it no justice. I believe it was lunchtime, as it was definitely buffet-style. This was back in March.

I will be praying for them. Cancer is so awful, my girls lost their father to leukeamia so I am sure they will pray also

We (DH and I) just booked this cruise! We are so excited. This thread is amazing! You all sound like such a fun group of ppl. Is it too late to join FE? I understand that you all have been preparing for a while. I tried to private message but wasn't allowed bc I'm a newbie. We're in #7018.

Personally, I don't have a problem with you guys joining in but, certainly from my perspective, I have already made many of my gifts. I have got some smaller gifts for the kids which we will probably have some spare ones but, if you don't mind not getting exactly the same as everyone else in your FE, we wouldn't like to exclude anyone, I'm sure

Do you want to post some more details about your party/travel companians and then I can add you to the list.

Wilma-Bride, I really just want to give away some favors I have. But I just want ppl to know that we'll be giving them so no one will be freaked out by the gift from a stranger. They are non-food items, but quite fun!

So basically, if you get treats from "The DCLunatics," don't be scared!

You can add me to the group with fewer ppl and just add an asterisk saying that we request no gifts. Honestly, if anyone does give anything, just ONE for our cabin is enough.

We had ZERO trick-or-treaters in our new neighborhood last year, so this is my time to let loose.

I am so sorry for putting you in this position, W-B. I know it's awkward, but I hope it's all straightened out now.

I am so sorry to hear about your friends and their daughter. We will certainly keep them in our prayers.

It's honestly not a problem at all - certainly I would love for you to join in with the fun, all I was saying was the home made items I just don't have time to make any more now but, if you have kids, please say so and we can certainly manage a few treats for them

2gr8brits - Cancer is the most cruel and unusual punishment, and I admire your young friend for the battle she has won as well as the strength she has for facing this battle again. I'll be thinking of her as well as her family. Thank you for sharing her story and her strength with us.

I will add her to my prayer list as well. Please keep us posted. Does the family have a carepage for updates? I follow another little girl on her carepage. It is very sad when children get so sick.
