At the end of the day, ya sure 1000 points can be bought for peanuts, but you also probably didn’t just spend 100k to get ‘a deal’. Unless you did, in which case we’re all curious.

The price PP makes less of an impact on the small point contracts. Im sure with those low point per night rooms you will make your $ back.

Yep I’m fine with it, honestly the difference from what I wanted was like $500 total, so I just said screw it. I’ll have my perfect amount of points for many amazing trips for a decade or 2.
Plus if I had bought a bigger one and sold my smaller one I probably would have ended up spending more with extra closing costs, etc… and I’m getting tired of contract paperwork. lol

I wholeheartedly endorse your method Chili. For $500 difference it isn't worth agonizing over the pricing, paperwork, closing costs and hassle. You'll be happier this way and that is worth the slightly higher price. I love seeing the deals everyone gets here but ultimately am never going to end up getting the rock bottom price either, and thats ok with me.

It never made sense to me, so I'm glad it was simply an error and not some bizarre plot twist that we would waste hours of our lives contemplating on here. Thanks for updating us!

Thanks for the update! I was just coming to terms with the fact that we might be losing this 120 pt CCV contract and started looking around for a replacement. I guess I don’t have to worry about it anymore. . We still have (I’m guessing) 12 more days before we hear anything, but I’ll post when I find out.

I was getting anxious reading all of you passing today, so I emailed about our contract. They wrote back quickly and said the seller had a name change they were not aware of, and DVC is requiring that document before reviewing the contract. Have any of you experienced this? How long does this typically set you back? She said she would check with DVC but it may still be a few days because of this. Today is 30 days since submission so I’m incredibly bummed and a little frustrated that we hadn’t been told. Thanks for any insight everyone!

That is a bummer! In our recent contract, they discovered a name issue with the seller prior to sending to ROFR. We had to resign the documents, but we were lucky it was caught before going to ROFR. Hope that Disney can review your contract soon!
