Is it just me or is ROFR moving really slow all of a sudden?

I contacted my broker yesterday about my CCV offer that was submitted to Disney 7/18. The broker said Disney has really slowed down their decision times the past two weeks. It's not just you.

Today is 28 days since ours was submitted and I am getting a little crazy checking my email every hour. This is my first DVC experience and I’m finding I’m too impatient for this lol

I am not sure how the refub would make them want contracts at BLT any more than today when they have plenty of product to sell, especially given the PVB tower.

They don't want to own a lot of points they can not sell because, while they don't pay dues on them, they do have to cover any shortfall at the end of the year, and the more points they own, the potential for a shortfall is greater.

If BLT goes up in price, IMO, it will be because of renewed interst by the resale buyer due to the refurb. As you say, its location is a strong one!

IMO, once the refurb @ BLT happens the demand for that resort will go up materially.

It seems that management is relearning that ignoring current resorts to only focus on new resorts is leaving a big slice of revenue on the table.

We submitted on 7/17 and just heard back a couple hours ago. Was hoping for a little quicker but glad it came through prior to having to wait another weekend.

Only time will tell but I’m willing to make the same wager. It’s the reason for our second contract we opted to buy BLT again because we think the resale price will either stay relatively the same or increase. My kids love staying at AKL and Saratoga so BLT has been great SAP+ points for us.

I've only been tracking the recent purchases, but it seems that way. I was really hoping mine passed next week but I'm pretty sure they're going to make me wait till the end of August (sent 7/31)

Refurb or not I’m not seeing the demand suddenly increasing. Either you like BLT or you don’t, a refurb won’t change that.

Saw this posted in DVC Fan FB group and thought it was an interesting ROFR DP for this thread. Have we seen CCV taken recently?

I'm missing total price, so I can't fill the thread entirely:

It’s funny that this was pretty stripped too.

I still think Disney rightfully or wrongly responds more to the headline PP price rather than the latent value of the usable points on the contract. Paying a little more for a loaded contract is definitely the way to go to escape the ROFR monster.

Perhaps Disney already has way more 2023/2024 points than it knows what to do with, thanks to all of us jumping on MB over the past 16 months…if what they are focused on is solving the OKW extension debacle, cheap stripped points probably work just fine for them.

Oof. I’ve got an OKW contract with Disney at $78/point right now. Almost double points. I will be (pleasantly) shocked if it passes ROFR. Buy backs seem to be holding strong sub $80.

Except the sales they have had to do on sold out resorts have put the price extremely low and the base price direct is no where near what DVD has inflated BLT to be.

OKWgot down really low. For DVD to sell BLT that low, they’d need to ROFR it below 100 and I don’t see BLT going that low.

So, I do not see them deciding after the refurb trying to make a play for BLT.

At the end of the day, ya sure 1000 points can be bought for peanuts, but you also probably didn’t just spend 100k to get ‘a deal’. Unless you did, in which case we’re all curious.
