Well that certainly means that someone has to go straight to 200 points!

We loved it! So glad that we splurged and stayed as long as we did. I definitely want to go back.Totally understand. How was your trip to Aulani by the way?

$16000 extra over resale ($95) for a 10% discount card and access to "exclusive' resorts. That'll be a no!Well that certainly means that someone has to go straight to 200 points!

They are exclusive today but as time grows one becomes two, two becomes three, three becomes four, and so on. Eventually you will need some direct points if you ever want to stay in the newer resorts using your dvc points. I agree the price point is way off retail most days but getting GFV at 160ish direct is crazy considering those resale points are still in the 140/150’s. I have zero direct points as well and will likely stay here for awhile unless for some amazing reason Disney offers these same incentives on Poly 2 but I do hope to get at least 100 direct points. Just not at 200+ a point.access to "exclusive' resorts.
I think one of the reasons maybe a lot of people are waiting to see what their refurb will look like first? I know BLT theming and decor isn't a favorite, many don't like it or even hate it. I think Disney can absolutely do a way better job with their refurb, so let's see what happens! We don't love it either, but despite that we own a small contract there now because of the convenience to MK.Why does it seem like BLT contracts are flooding the market right now?
V&A is more around $1K for a couple10% on dining! Assuming Victoria and Alberts costs 600 for a couple only 267 visits and you’re ahead!

Can I ask where you snagged that one? I've been trying to pick off a small SSR contract, and no one seems to be budging from $140-$150 whenever I find one.richviii---$110-$3405-25-SSR-Dec-0/22, 25/23, 25/24- sent 8/7
My partner and I aren't fans of alcohol generally speaking but with drinks I'm sure it can easily be 1k a couple after tip.V&A is more around $1K for a coupleI mean if you stick with just the menu and don't order anything else extra, then it will be $600. That never happens to us though
We spent close to $1K and this was quite a few years ago!

I'm not the OP and I'm just guessing but I think Fidelity. I offered on it (less than this) and of course was declined. Can I ask where you snagged that one? I've been trying to pick off a small SSR contract, and no one seems to be budging from $140-$150 whenever I find one.
Correct. I offered lower as well. They posted several contracts and they were all gone by morning.I'm not the OP and I'm just guessing but I think Fidelity. I offered on it (less than this) and of course was declined.
I scored 2 of those 25 point contracts myself. (Unless the ROFR monster wakes up.) $110 was too good to pass up. Fidelity agent said there were 4 of the 25 point contracts from the same seller. Agent also said that the seller listed 8 contracts and by the next morning 7 of them were sold. I own 450 direct at Riviera and we like to try other resorts if they are available at 7 months. I was looking for the perfect way to round out 500 points. For that price even the wife wasn’t too mad that I bought without asking her. Easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. Exact same thoughts here! We’re new SSR resale owners and debating AKL resale or waiting for Poly 2 and then deciding between it and Riviera.I keep looking at contracts but think I will wait until fall of 2024. I just am not certain what I want to do.
Looking at resale AKV or BLT to combine with our SSR points or
Do we want direct at POLY2 or Riviera instead.
I can make a case for any of the 4. I can also make a case against any of the 4.
We have enough points for trips in 2023 and 2024 so the purchase is not necessary until a trip in 2025.

If 50-100 HHI points show up with a Feb use year, I’m just bidding immediately. I told DH after I bid on the 185 points that’s in ROFR now, but I already know it’s not enough.LuvIt!
That was me when I offered on that 50 Pointer at HHI (still pending ROFR).
I offered without even asking DW!
ME: but Honey, it was less than $4K -
We can stop at HHI enroute to WDW-
Put it on Disney Visa and get Reward Points!
It’s a Win-Win-Win
She’s onboard, now![]()
