If your nervous about not passing Rofr should you submit another offer on a place? I'm already researching other places but wasn't sure what everyone does.

I don't want to hold someone's contract up if I'm not sure I can buy it (I can't buy another one - we're already buying 2 at over 41k total). It would really stink to lose this one in ROFR, but I don't want to move on something else until we know it's fate.

I agree. I plan on buying another one down the road but don't know if I could swing two right now. I hate the waiting! Good luck on yours! Fingers crossed for both of us!

I'd just do one offer at a time. You'll have to cough up another deposit and then you'll be on the hook for 2 contracts if ROFR is waived on both. Yes, you can rescind within 10 days, but one could pass while the other is pending so you'll still be on a knife's edge that way, and also it's just really rude and inconsiderate to submit an offer on something you're not definitely going to buy, IMHO. If you do that, it's not available to another potential buyer, and you're wasting the seller's and broker's time.

It seems to take forever, but it's not really a big deal in the scheme of things. Submit an offer, cross fingers, and repeat if necessary!

I seriously doubt anyone at DVD cares about this thread at all. The resale market is among the least of their worries other than how it affects direct sales of their live properties.

Disney notifies the DVC Resale company, then the DVC resale company notifies you.

I got both an email and a phone call. I was sitting down at the time, thankfully. Sooooooo disappointed. Especially since this is my first try. Looking at all the nice YouTube tours of different DVC resorts etc. It just broke my heart man. Felt like just giving up and going direct.

Disney is betting on that by stripping the discounts and special perks and making the resale ROFR unpredictable. I bet those ROFR guys check these boards for fun and joke about it with each other.

Very reasonable and perceptive point.
