Has anybody heard anything this week with ROFR? We sent in on the 16th on the first one, seemed to be quite a few around the 10th-12th mark going through last week!
Only cure they’ve uncovered so far is to buy more points.i have severe addonitis! what is the cure?

I struggled at first with them but managed to get two offers in on contracts last month. We were told on a couple of occasions they couldn’t present offers to sellers even though the offers were still (I think) very fair! In the end we jumped on listing that we’re put on that same day, they were way more realistic than the sellers sat for a month plus!Looks like dvc resale market is finally starting to catch up to Fidelity (and maybe the sellers/brokers there are realizing that they are not going to move contracts at their currently inflated prices). As of this morning there is a stripped SSR contract listed for $96, a couple of 200ish point contracts for $100, and some $104’s.
No… I’m on day 15 and I’ve seen a couple go through this fast so refreshing emails every three secondsHas anybody heard anything this week with ROFR? We sent in on the 16th on the first one, seemed to be quite a few around the 10th-12th mark going through last week!

I hadn't thought of that, but it makes perfect sense. If the listing is still in the instant-sale lock period, there is no point in presenting an offer below that, because the seller can always get more by just telling the broker to take it.I think it relates to their "instant sale" pricing.
Can you reach out to an agent/broker and tell them what you are looking for as a buyer?I hadn't thought of that, but it makes perfect sense. I was going to ask the same thing! Ours was submitted on the 15th for a Copper Creek contract. I've been monitoring this board hoping to see activity this week for around those dates. I know there have been some recent ROFRs on CC resort, so holding my breath and hoping we get an email soon saying we passed. Good luck with yours!Has anybody heard anything this week with ROFR? Most brokers I have said something like this to just tell me to keep an eye on their site or sign up for their newsletter. I am in the same conundrum as I am looking for a specific use year/resort combo and all the remaining contracts are priced super high. Can you reach out to an agent/broker and tell them what you are looking for as a buyer?
Also is there a way you can sort at the sponsor site by date listed?
i.e. let's say someone is looking for an SSR contract- there are over 500 to chose from. Wouldn't the broker have a better idea of who is willing to budge at a lower price vs who isn't? Making an offer on one contract at a time just to see if it is accepted is exhausting with the inventory so high
Lame. You would think the brokers would be motivated to move contracts. Most brokers I have said something like this to just tell me to keep an eye on their site or sign up for their newsletter. There was one about a week ago but I was too slow and it sold at the exact price I was going to offer.
The market is so weird right now. Some contracts are being listed reflecting a reasonable price given the oversupply of contracts, most are posted too high still reflecting prices that were reasonable a few months ago, and some brand new contracts are being posted wanting outrageous prices. I’m looking for a small AKV contract and two of the most recent I’ve seen posted are asking for $150-160/point!! These weren’t loaded contracts or anything…. Not sure what people are thinking.
Right. It just seems bizarre to me to list a contract at $160/point when similar contracts at $140/point have been sitting for over a month…It could just be people who are not in any rush to sell or testing the waters.
Only the seller knows how fast they want it to sell. Some are content to wait and hope the market goes back up.
Yes this is definitely what it is. If a contract has been on the market for awhile, chances are it is just because they are not super motivated to sell. If you want a good deal, chances are you will need to jump on it almost immediately after listing and hope its a motivated seller. It could just be people who are not in any rush to sell or testing the waters.
