I got my May 9th submission results yesterday.

Maybe they unclogged to the toilet over there finally. There were a ton of contracts submitted around 5/2 to 5/7 that all cleared around 5/22 to 5/24, then nothing until the two that cleared yesterday.

They are definitely not focusing on resale over there at the moment… other than the ones they want to take back!

Maybe they are considering a strategy pivot before the launch of Poly 2?

Makes sense that (relatively) high value BCV is not on their radar for ROFR either way.

Extremely curious if @DonkeyHoTay has actually found a seller willing to part with BCV anywhere near $100/pt. He (she?) does have a history of buying giant contracts though.

Looks like a few potentially motivated sellers in the low $100s... maybe a deal to be had. And He (me?) has a history of buying an absurd number of points across a dozen small contracts at OKW, but the flexibility of those points does not guarantee me anything at 7 months specifically at BCV - a favorite destination. So, here I am asking questions about BCV resales - I wonder if these would count as SAP+? Still learning the lingo...

Yes I'm looking hard at ones like that which shall remain nameless... large number of points. I really doubt I'm gonna need all those extra points in addition to what I have direct at OKW, but I could always rent the excess.

Problem with these contracts is that they’re stripped until 2025, normally for a great price nbd but with a 2042, every year really does count. Then again, waiting around for the market to catch up to reality might take another few years for BCV so probably won’t get those prices until 2025 or 2026 anyway.

True - I'm ok with waiting until 2025 to get UY points, but I'm not ok with fully stripped contracts all the way until 2026. I was on the fence about the 2042 deed expiration, but I made my peace with the idea that it's 18 (and only 18) years of fun. C'est la vie.

Totally understand— I bought BCV to get it around the holidays at 11mo after having “enough” points elsewhere—but I bought 101, not 700 (in retrospect I wish I’d bought 175-250, alas).

I think BCV is a decent value if you are determined to stay there or really love SAB— if I was trying to make the math work on a lot of rental points, I’d go with BWV instead (but you have to hustle and compete with commercial renters for the best use of your points). Neither BCV or BWV should be considered SAP due to their high cost v short life…but I guess they are still better for SAP than VGC or CFW.

I feel like there was a really negative sentiment towards BWV/BCV resale because of 2042 a couple of years ago…. but for the most part that seems to have evaporated except from the pure SAP crowd.
