Hi all!
I just returned from my first on site trip to Disney World. I visited from Thursday September 2-Monday September 6. This was an O Solo Mio trip for me and only me. ;)
This will be my first trip report too!!!:cool1: I tried a pre trip report but it was kinda lame. I'm hoping to improve on this one.

Cast of Characters: ME Teacher by day, virtual farmer by night

Day 1- travel and downtown Disney
Day 2- DHS and MK
Day 3- AK and Epcot
Day 4- DHS and MK
Day 5- Downtown Disney and travel

More to come soon....

Another teacher here that loves Disney! Can't wait to read it. Let me guess, Farmville sucked you in too?

Here we go folks the real beginning of my trip report. Please fasten your seat belts and store all carry on items.

My first day begins bright and early. I was up by 4:30 am :scared1: to make my 7:40 am flight. I made it to airport with no issues and as always security was fast and smooth. I checked my work email and had some raspberries while waiting for boarding. First leg of flight was smooth and nothing to report from it. I watched most of Elizabeth the Golden Age starring Cate Blanchett. I had a layover in Austin after this.

While in Austin I realized this is not an airport for a layover. Airport is small and does not have anything to do in it. I did buy a shot glass to document my visit and I charged my lap top for the second leg of my flight. During the second leg of my flight, I finished my movie had some snacks and listened to my IPOD. I landed in MCO on time and headed to the ME pick up location.

It took me almost 30 minutes to find the ME location. i went to 1st floor on the A side which does not connect to B side easily. I went back up to 3rd floor and slowly found my way there. Check for ME was smooth and quick. I was out of there within 10 minutes. Driver was nathanial I think and he was nice. I watched the movie advertising all things Disney to pass the time. I ate some more snacks which is against ME policies. What can I say I live on the edge

Got to POP in about 40 minutes after a stop at Carribean Beach Resort. Waited in line to check out for almost 20 minutes even though there were only 2 people in front of me. I did not get any room requests I asked for and I was originally placed in building 3 ground floor. I told the woman I need none ground floor and she made some calls and fixed it. I was moved to 3rd floor in building 6 which is the 70s section. I also got a room with two beds which is just dumb since I was by myself. I wasn't really impressed with my room but more on that later...;)

By this time it was 6 ish and I was starving and had realized that I left my Disney tickets at home :headache:. I headed out to the buses for dinner and hopefully a reprint of my ticket. I went to guest relations and the best CM was working. I think his name was Taylor but I could be wrong. He was able to find my ticket and print me a new one.:banana: Hooray vacation saved.

I headed to Earl of Sandwich for dinner. It was packed!! Always a good sign for a diner. After eating I wandered around some stores before heading back to my room to rest.

My sister just moved to Austin. I"m glad I'm not the only one who got lost trying to find ME.

I'm in! Already love the title and your Day 1 recap.

]WOW it's been forever since I updated so here goes....

After much agonizing debate I decided to got to DHS instead of AK this morning. I decided I did not want to go during EMH the next day and I'm glad I didn't. I woke up bright and early. I brought oatmeal packets and my water bottle from home so I headed to the food court first thing. I used the hot water tap to make oatmeal and filled water bottle with ice and water from pop machine. I ate my fruit while I waited for the bus to DHS. I ate the oatmeal while walking form bus to entrance. I overwatered it that day so it was a little bit nasty kinda like oatmeal soup. I ate it anyway though ;). Gotta stick to my budget.

I watched the rope drop opening and liked it. I then walked fast (or so I thought) to Toy Story. I got there at 9:03 and the wait was already 45 minutes and the fast pass line was at least a 30 min wait. I didn't wait for either and headed towards Tower and RocknRoller.

I wasn't sure if I was going to ride Tower as drops and motion sickness do not go well together. I decided I would ride RnR since it was in the dark. If I looked green no one would know . (I didn't know about the photo at this point). I went through the stand by line with no wait. I loved this ride. I screamed and got flipped upside down but it was great. My first photo was pretty terrible. I had my eyes closed and was in full scream. I rode again right after using single rider with again no wait. Photo was still terrible eyes shut and partial scream face. :scared1:
Decided to move on and figured I would revisit at end of day. Didn't ride Tower but I did walk by the entrance LOL.
I headed to Star Tours thinking there might be a line :lmao: I spent time taking photos in the line but could have walked right on the ride. I hated this ride. What a waste of time and it made me a little sick :headache::sick:. I hope the refurb is good because I was really disappointed.
Headed to Muppet Vision 3D to relax (no wait again )...loved it, laughed so hard, would see again
Went back to Toy Story, stand by line 45 minutes  got fastpass (return time 2:25 which is 4 hours later) I got in stand by line and waited with my fastpass, I figured if I didn't like it after the wait I could someone my fastpass, after climbing the stairs the CM called for singles and doubles I waved at her like a freak and I got to pass literally 100 people in line  I waited about 2 minutes and then got on, I liked this ride alot, If lines were shorter I would have ridden it over and over, great for kids
after shooting plates, I went to Narnia---WOW that was dumb even dumber than Star Tours
one Man's dream was closed so I skipped it Also skipped little mermaid and playhouse disney
decided to get lunch and head towards Beauty/Beast show
got pretzel and frozen lemonade
Went to Beauty show (12:45), liked it, might be confusing if you don't know the movie, benches hurt your bum
went to Great Movie Ride, fun good time in AC, reminders me of Jungle Cruise ride, really depends on guide if it is good
Went to Indy Jones show at 2, totally cheesy and not what I expected
watched end of Jedi training, cute for families
rode TSMM again with fastpass, skipped about 35 people in front of me, the CM made everyone move to the left to let me through, it felt like being royalty, loved and hated all at the same time
rode RnR using singles 4 times with no waiting :dance3: still had terrible pictures, tried once to have my arms raised but they started to drop right as pictured was taken so I kinda look like I was having a fit  At least the person I shared my "limo" with didn't buy it. So 6 times in one day...you think that is something just wait until day 4!

"Love in a roller coaster" :rolleyes1

Left DHS after that and headed to bus to go to MK

Great TR so far Amy. Looking forward to your MK installment. popcorn::

after saying good bye to my dear rock n roller coaster :guilty: I headed to MK
I was really looking forward to eating at Columbia Harbour House, riding Winnie the Pooh and big thunder mountain and was hoping there would be no lines at MK just like DHSpooh:

headed to TTC for monorail and got in my first line of the day took forever too, eventually I got a standing room only seat and headed to the MK

I got there around 4:45 and was ready.

I flew through Main Street and headed towards adventureland.
I rode Jungle Cruise and Aladdin with no waiting :banana:
rode Pirates with no wait ARRRR pirate:
BTMMR- no wait and got my own seat...I slid all over the place and loved every moment
Haunted Mansion with no wait,I didn't really think that I liked this ride but it grew on me over the trip :hmghost:

Then I headed to my long awaited dinner at Columbia...but alas it was already closed. DAMN
I ate at Pinocchio Village Haus instead since it was open and close by. It was good but nothing special.
I nabbed a fastpass for Pooh and headed to Mickey's Philharmagic, got a good seat and had a fun time. :3dglasses
rode the carrousel with no wait
rode Dumbo with only a 10 min wait!!!! :dumbo:
rode Pooh
got fastpass for Peter Pan
rode Tea Cups :ccat:
rode Goofy's Barnstormer :goofy:
Returned to Peter Pan
By this time I decided I was tired and didn't want to see the fireworks so I headed to main street and left
waited for bus to POP (third longest wait of the day after monorail and TSMM)
nice family in front of me gave me a re entry fastpass good for any ride that they didn’t use!!!! I planned to use it at Space Mountain on my return visit.

I had a magical day but will later regret not staying at MK to ride the goodies in Tomorrowland

When we left off I was tired and leaving the MK. I was happily standing in my 3rd line of the day and mentally planning another great day with no lines. :cool1:

I headed back to my room at POP and that's when I realized...I was staying at a dump. From this point on I referred to the POP as the DUMP. Whenever someone asked where I was staying I said the DUMP. HA HA I probably should have named it Great Whistling Toilet Motel. POP is cute enough and it's clean but really people it's just a motel 6 with stuff plastered on the buildings.

I started taking benadryl this night too so I could sleep. Nothing like listening to the neighbors TVs, conversations, sneezes and their toilet whistling to keep you up all night. I would have switched hotels but I paid in full and was only going to be there for a few nights so I toughed it out. I used my earplugs and my whole benadryl stash but I made it. ;) I can't understand why anyone would choose to go here again....hmmmm

Wow! We didn't have that problem with our room. We rarely heard anything. Once in awhile I think we would hear a toliet or shower maybe. But really it was very very quiet. Probably because we were the last room on the hallway, because no one was going by our room. Sorry it was so hard for you to sleep!

no worries...I survived. I just know that POP is not right for me. Maybe I'll try something fancier next time.

left POP around 8:30 this morning and headed to the animal kingdom. This is one of the parks I visited in June and loved it. I like animals and I think the rides here are great. I was looking forward to the opening ceremony with Mickey and the gang but I missed opening ceremony and rope drop.
So I went straight to Safari and walked on. I love that. I sat next to a lady with a toddler and they were pretty nice. Safari truck in front of us had some issues so our trip was longer WOOHOO, 3 giraffee came within touching distance of the truck, got some good photos, saw baby giraffee and elephant. It was fun. It reminds me of the Safari train at the Phoenix Zoo.
I skipped the Pangani trail. I had done it in June and knew I could come back to it if I wanted.
So I went to Asia instead.
I rode Kali River and bumped my head on the seat. This will be important later. I rode with a nice little family that chatted with me the whole time.
As soon as I get off that ride the head ache begins. At first it was just an annoyance but it soon becomes much more.
I braved the Yeti and rode Everest 2x using Single rider. After all that RocknRoller coaster yesterday this ride didn't seem so intense but I still love it. Not like I love RocknRoller but still love. :lovestruc
My head was still a throbbing so I decided to catch a show and try to relax. So I saw Flights of Wonder show at 10:30. I liked this show. It was funny and the birds were beautiful.
By this time my head ache worsens. :headache: I feel like a vice is in full squeeze. I considering leaving but decided against it. I am tough. I took more pills and hoped they would help.
I headed to Dino land and got to ride Triceratops Spin with no wait.
I rode Primeval Whirl next. It had a 20 min wait which is manageable. I rode with couple from Italy now living in New York. We talked about all kinds of stuff. It was a nice distraction from my headache.
Than it happens folks one of the biggest mistakes of my trip. I decided to ride DINOSAUR. I had ridden this in June and had forgotten how loud this ride is and I forgot the shaking about bits. I got out of that "Jeep" feeling pretty terrible. :headache::sick: Almost got sick on the way out. I had to take a break and relax so I did. I wandered through some shops and washed my face in the bathroom. Bu the head ache worsens still.
I still was not ready to give up my day at the parks. After all I had flown for 5 hours to get here. So I headed to the Bug show. There was no wait so I went in. Love this show....it is soooo funny. Cheech as a spider is great makes me laugh.
I was planning to head to Lion King next but I needed to eat some real food right now. The only thing near by to eat was Pizzafari and I had pizza the day before. So I decided to call it a day and leave. I left the AK around 1:20 and instead of heading to POP to rest I headed to Epcot.
Clearly I am more than tough. I'm also a glutton for punishment. What sort of crazy person goes to theme parks with a killer headache??? Me that's who!

It's confirmed, you're a crazy lady! :D That's real dedication...toughing it out at the Parks with a killer headache. Hope it got better at Epcot.

Enjoying the TR and your photos.
