I have never went through a travel agent and when she booked this for my family, I did no research, so when she told me "it's high end" then google it and see it's the lesser of all the resorts, I was kinda upset.. Please don't let my words come across as "snood", I really just wasn't sure why all the "terrible reviews"- that's why I asked how true some of the reviews were..

If she booked you one of the family suites, it will be nice. Not upscale, but nice. And it will give you the opportunity to look at the other resorts so you can book your own for trip #2.

You need a new TA. Any TA who doesn't know the difference between a value and deluxe resort has no business planning WDW vacations.

You might even want to consider a DVC two bedroom villa on a future trip. They sleep eight or nine, have a full kitchen and a washer and dryer in the villa. DVC is Disney Vacation Club which is Disney's version of a timeshare. Those villas can be rented directly from Disney or from a DVC member.

Last fall at the Halloween party, we were waiting to see Lotso. Right as we started to walk up, a huge RAT scurried across the mat and into the bushes. I screamed. The CM screamed. Lotso's handler practically jumped into his arms. It was hysterical. Here's the picture after we finally calmed down enough for the actual meet.

The Art of Animation resort also has suites that fit 6 and it is newer than the all Stars but still in the value category. We stayed there and it is nice. The Fort Wilderness cabins would also accommodate a party of 6. The all star suite is not your only option.

Still not high end suite. They should have booked you in an Art of Animation or any of the deluxe suites (or heck even the cabins at fort wilderness) if they were describing something as high end.

The All Stars aren't dumps but they aren't high end either.

You can get a multi bedroom suite or villa at most of the deluxe properties. FYI

I'd be more worried about bedbugs. It's awful bringing them home. Although if your TA considers a value "high end", that would worry me even more than the bugs do.

...for probably 10 times more than the OP can afford to spend, considering that her own travel agent was suggesting a value resort as the only thing that could fit her needs.
