Ok, I'm back to working on our March 2008 album. I've used LOTS of swap stuff, but I've only taken pics of 2 pages. I'm hoping to take some more pics tomorrow or the next day.

In this first one, the topper was by me, and the squares were by MichellePooh for the resort swap.

In this one, the squares were by MichellePooh and the library pocket and tag I think were by missesdisney, but I couldn't find the label for that one!

I'm hoping to get more done soon. . .otherwise, I'm going to drown in photos!!

I tried a cardtable.. the damn thing my kids have sit on and it has a sag in the center.. no wonder they always put a centerpiece on that table when we have big dinners... so they didn't get caught..
so I ripped out a shelving unit that was in the way....and I put my 5" table on top of 2 smaller units... than I put the shelving unit into the closet like area under the stairs..only to find a stack of papers/memoriablia and photos that need to find pages to scrap too!!! Holy crap I have a lot of work to do!

So that being said, I'm going back to my room to scrap!!!

Seems like everyone is really happy with what happens and I'd love to know if it's something I might be able to participate in. Not sure if I'm up for the challenge, though. Ya'lls layouts are pretty intimidating for a new gal just starting out on a board like this. Someone able to give a little instruction?

have a look at the stickies on the top with the swap guidelines, explanation of what pieces are etc., then have a look at the swap calendar and make a not of swaps you'd like to participate in - there's an ATC swap opening next Monday, for example. For a first swap you are generally limited to one or two groups til you earn your swap "ears" (easy to do - do nice stuff and don't be late mailing witout letting someone know ) Its very addictive so have your bank account well topped-up

We're all very friendly so just jump in and ask any questions!

This particular challenge requires that you have swapped with us before. The items (what we call elements) are all from previous swaps. We use the items in our layouts. At least two items per page to count towards the prize.

Over on the scrapbook forum, we have other kinds of challenges that don't require the swapped items and are therefore open to everyone who is willing to try and willing to hostess (think of a challenge & offer a prize) and willing to have fun. The prizes for paper scrapping are all drawn out of a hat so to speak. The digi scrapping, the hostesses do sometimes pick a favorite. They are both fun mediums, have great hostesses and wonderful participants. Check them out.

For this challenge, there are some swaps that have sign ups starting at the beginning of April. See if there are any you would like to join.

I'm a new swapper, I've done three and am currently signed up for three. Just read the stickies at the top of this page & ask lots & lots of questions. These guys are great with helping newbies know what to do.

I am so thankful I had these great pieces to scrap with. I only had to cut the pictures and stick em down! I just wanted to share- so please do not include me in the drawing. Since I have been organizing, I do not know who made all of the pieces- unless it was written on the piece- not the baggie. So please chime in if it is your piece I used!

Like we made it for the MK SWAP and it happens to be the set i made that I used for let's say my PeterPan's flight page and so forth?

Yes it counts! You can use it even if you made it as long as it's a swap piece!

I've used my own things lots. I tend to make my swap items now with current pictures in mind. How else will I scrap if I don't make the swap items.
