At current VGC prices, the discount is still there compared to rack rates. It’s just a hard pill to swallow the initial buy in cost at $280+ pp. I just hope Disney will reasonably price DLT when it debuts. Less than $225pp please!

I know it sounds like it but it isn't true. A recent calculation on the disboards demonstrated the price can increase to $400 per point and you still save over rack rate prices. There is quite a differential in pricing between DLH and VGC too.

I still haven’t wrapped my head around DLT and how I feel about it. DL is a completely different animal than WDW. I don’t feel like there is a Disney bubble like WDW. I’d like to get some points there, but the anticipated point chart and costs make me think it’s not for me. We’ll see.

I'm 100% in the same boat, it's really going to depend on minimums and pricing. We are blessed with many options in the immediate area (including just paying hotel rates at these essentially exact same properties), but I'm eager to see the details once sales start.

Have you done it in comparison with renting. Using today's dollars. At 300pp and renting at 20pp the break even is at 25+ years. That's a rough analysis.
