Riviera Resort room preference

I have a 2 bedroom preferred booked at RR for August . This is first trip for many in the family . Suggestions for a room request? High floor? Also is there an advantage to checking in onine now?

We prefer being on a higher floor. We were on the 7th floor in RIV and loved the view.

I chose “near elevator” to try to get a central location. “Near skyliner” is fine but I’d rather be near the main lobby/dining/pool/buses which are more central. Would not check “near lobby” though as the last time I did that at Boardwalk they interpreted it to mean on the ground floor, and I think the views are best higher up.

Honestly though there are no real bad rooms as it is pretty compact resort.

If you want to request something else, leave the options blank on online checkin and submit requests directly. If booked via Disney on cash, call the reservations line and have your requests added to your reservation. If booked via DVC points, the DVC owner needs to notify MS via chat, email or phone call.
