Hello!

Is the general consensus that we will need fast passes for Rivers of Light at AK? If we need to fast pass it, it removes the opportunity to get a 4th fast pass during the day, and also makes us choose between Kilimanjaro, Kali River, and Expedition Everest!

Any opinions on this?

Thanks :)

I'd try for the dining package once they are released.

My question is a little different--I notice park hours in November only go to 5 p.m. at DAK. does that mean they are not going to be doing Rivers of Light then? Or do you think those hours will get extended once the show opens?

According to DD (works entertainment at Universal & many Disney entertainment friends) ROL has been postponed indefinitely. I don't know how accurate this is. She mentioned it in passing.

For me, it's less about whether it's ROL or Jungle Book, but more about whether nighttime at AK will be a nightly event in October, or whether it will only occur 3-4 nights a week. Unfortunately, I'm not convinced Disney will have the hours updated prior to the opening of my FP+ window. I want to see whatever show they have to offer, I want to see Safari at night, and I want to (hopefully) ride Everest at night. For me, nighttime at AK is a much bigger deal than Star Wars and Toy Story at HS or Frozen and Soarin' around the World at Epcot.

DAK will "most likely" not be open as late in October as it will be in the Summer, but the days of early closes(5:00 PM,etc.) for DAK are GONE effective May 27.

As WEDWDW says, AK will be open at night, whether ROL/Jungle book is on or not. I have a feeling the hours will be very similar to those at DHS. Earlier closings during the months where sunset comes early; later closings in summer. Perhaps extended hours during busy weeks like Christmas.
