Has anyone been there recently? What is it like? Do they serve food or just drinks? Is it adults only? TIA!

It is a bar right outside the lobby, gift shop and the TS and CS in POR. There is a bar, a few tables, a large TV, they have a full bar and cocktailish type bar food.

I read somewhere there is live music sometimes, a piano player I think? Anyone- help me out here? :confused3

It's definitely not adults only and it's a ton of fun. Bob Jackson is the piano player and you can check out his site here:

Have fun, he's a don't miss for all our trips! :thumbsup2

We saw him a few years back, very funny. Thanks for reminding me, as we'll be there in August and now I'm gonna make a point to see him with our DS & his BF.

We stayed at POR in October and The River Roost is a lot of fun. There were plenty of kids around, in fact if I remember correctly some of the entertainment was geared towards the kids.

It's a fun place to spend some time after the parks - we had a something tasty with our beers (I wanna say nachos). I would definitely recommend checking it out!

Yeehah Bob is definitely not our thing however luckily, when we were there in September/October they also had a singer/guitarist who sang a whole range of songs from the 60's to modern day.

He played until about 12.30am - just enough time for us to get through the cocktail menu and get far too drunk! It was all very good humoured with us and lots of others up and singing/dancing along.

I'd never seen him before but I'd make a point to go and see him again.
