Rise of the Resistance BOARDING GROUPS Superthread Part 2 *No Ride Spoilers Please* *PLEASE READ POSTS 1-3*

Woo got BG 85 at 7am. Yay. Success at 7am yesterday for WS (BG 23) and and success at 7am today for Rise. Can’t ask for anything more.
Can anyone tell me in as spoiler free way as possible… my husband and I have never done RotR before… we are traveling together with our 6 month old baby so we will have to do rider switch making us each essentially single riders. Will the covid restrictions make it weird or awkward on this ride as a part of 1? I guess what I’m asking is how much do they split different parties for distancing… I don’t really want to have one on one interactions during this experience. This didn’t occur to me until this morning, but I’m scared I might not actually want to experience this attraction alone alone. Im fine doing single rider on most things in general, and yesterday on GotG having an entire half of the vehicle to myself was neat, but what would the experience be like on RotR?
You’ll get your own row and another party will be in the other row separated by a plexi glass divider. The ride seats 8 in 2 rows of 4. I had my own row the last 2 times I road and it wasn’t weird.

The app was being extra slow for everyone in our party this morning and were stressed but ended up getting boarding group 78. The blue circle kept spinning after pressing the first join button before getting to the party confirmation screen. Last weekend, it was much easier for us for both ROTR and Webslingers.

Thank you for the reassurance! I had a blast and highly recommend going alone actually!

They called our group (85) at about 1pm-ish. We had finished setting up rider switch and I got into the queue at 1:06. Was fully off the ride to switch with my husband at 1:36. Not a bad wait at all and the ride was awesome.

Did you get your group in the morning drop or the 12pm drop?

Practicing has been going really poorly lately. I really hope DLRExpert's theory that not having a ticket for the day slows down the loading of that screen is correct, or else I'm very worried. It does seem like more people have caught on to how to get BGs and it's much harder to be successful with practice. The few milliseconds to select your group during practice plus the loading issue seem to be killing my chances, no matter how on the dot I am.

Was able to get friends into both ROTR (#12 via home WiFi) and WS (#88 via Mobile Data) today with the pull down method.
ROTR didn't have any loading issues.
WS Create a Party loaded for a few seconds, but was ready to jump on the join button as soon as it was done.
Really make sure you do not take your time checking ticket selections in your party. Trust Disney to choose the correct tickets automatically.

Just want to confirm this: Do you have to have entered a park for the 12pm drop? I am getting in in the afternoon on my first day and I was planning on just doing the 12pm drop as my flight doesn't even get in until the afternoon. I don't need to have entered the park for 12pm... or do I? I've heard conflicting info and I think it's the former, but I just want to confirm.

You do have to be in the park by 12:00 p.m. in order to do the afternoon boarding group attempt.

You have to have entered the park before 12. You don’t have to stay in the park.

Thank you very much. Guess I won't bother the first day then!

I am doing the same thing. We are flying down (First Class for the first time in my life! :cool1:) and I am going to make sure our plane has an early arrival time. No later than 10:00am. That will give me two hours to disembark, get our luggage, get our rental car (bypass the counter), and drive directly to DHS while my wife or son online checks us into the Disney resort. As long as my butt is through the gate before 12pm I am good. LOL

If you're available at the 7am drop, might be worth trying at that time, then go straight to the ride on your arrival and see if you can get on.

Not sure how strict DL is on the return time, but I know some at WDW have been successful at doing this.

Boarding group 35!!! The click over tab method at 6:59:59 failed for me again (had to refresh again for the join button to appear), but my partner was successful using the pull down method right at 7.

Stroke of 7:00:00 pull down or like 6:59:59 pull down?
